Where is the loot?
the topic is the end game sucks ass.... getting 0 exalted, 2 GCPs and a handful of crappy uniques i cant use or trade i exhausting. I love your concept, the passive tree, skill gem concept in awesome but there is no incentive to keep playing after you finish the game... i have over 200 levels of toons and my gear / currency inventory is shit.... i really do enjoy this game but what is my incentive to keep playing? hours of finding nothing?

once bots start being used (desynch fix) the market will be swamped with cheap gear and poor players win

op doesnt mention rares... ppl always complain they dont get the currencies or uniques, when rares are by far the most important item in the game. currencies are only useful for real items. uniques are only useful in special builds.

" The same is true of any game. The same is even true of life itself. What is your incentive for living? I've lived a full life. Done some incredible things people would never believe is true or even possible. Iv had beautiful women, mansions, awesome cars, and good friends. After a long while though, nothing seems to be better than what ive already experienced. Why should i continue living? Who is to blame? I think the answer is: deal with it. Might sound harsh. But is there any other answer? If things are sooo terrible that you cant bare to go on in the game. Dont. Simple as that. For years i searched for deep truths. A thousand revelations. At the very edge...the ability to think itself dissolves away.Thinking in human language is the problem. Any separation from 'the whole truth' is incomplete. My incomplete concepts may add to your 'whole truth', accept it or think about it Last edited by SkyCore#2413 on Apr 5, 2013, 9:44:47 PM

This is kinda true. One of the biggest complaints about D3 was farming for hours and hours and getting nothing. PoE isn't entirely a different beast in that regard. I have vendored literally thousands of rares.
I have found decent rares, but never one that was even good. I personally have been lucky though with other drops and have a decent amount of wealth though. I guess the real difference between PoE and D3(over concern of items), you can level and do fairly well in mediocre gear. At the end of the day it comes down to grinding out alts and getting lucky with lottery items like koams or a mirror. |

Have to agree with OP! Im finding the joy of going out and killing stuff for loot "Not fun" bc if i do find something i then have to spend the next 2 weeks trying to make it usable! I miss the old games where the loot was the loot! If its a upgrade you slap it on,and if it was not for your class/build you traded it or stored it for an alt!

" Translation: I am bored of this game. Up the droprate of the stuff I want. I should go play d3. |

" D3 is the same. Wasnt this game named 'real D3?". Its no different now. Absymal droprate, only reliable way of upgrades is via trading. Only difference is we dont have trade system. Other that thin is more or less like "auction House Tyccon 3". Especially if you just want fing some higher currency (and i dont talk about exalts and mirrors here... anything higher than quality upgrade orbs is stupidly rare... uniques - even this leveling ones too). |

Why do people talk about endgame like this is an MMORPG? ARPGs typically have mindless grinding for gear, whether it is a large upgrade or a sidegrade. This was the case in Diablo 2 and there were fewer options for farming in that game and it lasted for 10 years. I think everyone feels the need to get to 100 even though it is just an arbitrary number. If the level cap was 80 and people hit it, they would complain they can't level any further (hence the Paragon levels in D3). ARPGs/dungeon crawlers are about that grind for gear for long hours. If you do not enjoy this, maybe find a game that suits your needs?
