Streamers started quitting in 3.14 ... But GGG was like hold my beer for 3.15

"Its all because reddit posting a thread brigading steam forums for negative reviews. Nearly 500 negative reviews not long after the post went up, its pretty childish. Harvest sucks! But look at my decked out gear two weeks in!
Labyrinth salt farm miner. "But my build diversity" , "Game is too hard!" - Meta drone playing the same 1-3 builds for years. |

If childish or not doesn't matter, it doesn't seem like GGG cares to give any responses on the forums/reddit, so might as well use steam as an outlet. The review bombing happening is definitely something you could say is happenning because of GGG' negligence interacting with the community.

" casualise? wow is a grindfest compared how it was 7-10 years ago, you can't jump into high-tier pvp or pve efficiently without side grinds(korthia, covenants), during bc, wotlk, cata wow was waaaay more casual friendly( and was more popular, huh) 3.13 Was the best league ever!
3.18 Rest in peace my beloved recombinators, I'm gonna miss you... |

It went downhill for sure after wotlk, Shadowlands was the peak of hubris imo, also when I quit (luckily before purchasing)

"Considering how the community is acting like right now i'd not interact with them too. The review bombing is happening because a bunch of over entitled man children are upset that the dastardly game developer dares to balance their game and took a baseball bat to the power creep. |

" I still wouldn't call it childish. Steam reviews are a rather potent tool, I myself try to stay clear of games with lower than positive ratings unless I did quite some research about what I am getting myself into. If it is justified or whatever I don't want to comment on/argue about, it prolly won't lead anywhere anyways. You also have to remember it is definitely them agitating this community. They did steer into this direction for half a decade, to suddenly just say oopsie that wasn't what we wanted and turn a 180°. There are lots of people who did sink serious money into supporter packs to now suddenly be alienated by just 1 patch. I definitely can understand that frustration. " It's close to. Look, I get that people are somewhat upset. But if these changes made them go from "PoE is a good game" to "review-bomb it", they can't possibly have tried the changes. The changes are minor in 90% of the case. A few builds got it worse than others, but that's an issue for next league. I can understand that people go from liking the game to liking the game a little less. But to review-bomb it based on some nerfs? It's still the same game. If it's not childish, it's at least a serious overreaction - and a very narrow action. Bring me some coffee and I'll bring you a smile. Last edited by Phrazz#3529 on Aug 5, 2021, 8:37:25 AM

" Maybe if enough of these posts are made GGG will listen and cave into the will of the majority? I don't think they really will though, unfortunately this is only noise to them. |

" Also review bombing is not something done by people with several hundred to thousands of hours invested into a game. Review bombing is something done by basically unplayed accounts/people who bomb neg. reviews without having tried the product. Like for example Borderlands 2 got review bombed because Borderlands 3 was an epic exclusive after being advertised as pre-order on steam. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Review_bomb I just took over the term due to quoting the pre-poster Farming salt on the forums since 2024 Last edited by Toaru_Majutsu_no_Index#1288 on Aug 5, 2021, 9:05:41 AM
