Is Diablo 3 Better as 3.15 ?

d3 cant be better than poe

Depends on what you are going for, if you are looking for a more casual play at your own pace game, PoE has more to do than Diablo III does. If you are looking for a challenge try to push into the higher tiers of Greater Rifts (140+) in Diablo III, I found that more "sweaty" of a game. PoE is the most casual game I play and Diablo III can be as well, but runs out of things to do to keep you interested if you aren't pushing for high spots on the leaderboard.
Or, you might consider Diablo II Remastered, first. As the lead-in to D3, it makes narrative sense, and is likely to be a more satisfying ARPG experience. =^[.]^=

All subjective, but d3 is definitely worth watching, the company is interesting.

Also, it is easy in D3 to just jump into a random group and run maps together. Everyone has separate loot and the party gets group buffs to loot.

This, and playing the story once if you're up for it, but that's it, don't expect to find any depth in the "endgame" part.

Diablo III wlil never be a suitable replacement until Blizzard pulls their thumb out their ass and fixes this issue that's been around for multiple game seasons now: https://us.forums.blizzard.com/en/d3/t/main-thread-windows-19041-freezing-for-5-10-seconds/18380/747

In the late game performance will erratically burst down to single digits whenever there is action on screen. So far the only work-around to this is to replace a DLL file with one that completely disables all audio in the game.

I've never had that.

Diablo 3 is a console action game and can't easily be compared to POE (league 3.15 not withstanding). It's much more limited in size and scope than POE and doesn't have even a small fraction of the skill tree. The graphics are good and game play is smooth.

If you are looking to spend significant (tedious) time to try to build a unique character then POE is still a better choice.

If you are after some mindless hack 'n slash fun then possibly yeah D3 may be the better choice at the moment.

yeah, this pretty much sums it up.

d3 is fun, if you are more into grinding content than boss runs then d3 provides much harder grinding content that takes some real effort. it has gameplay advantages over poe in this regard.

at the same time d3s item system... its fairly bad, it exists but when compared to poes item system it might as well not exist. it cant even begin to compare. nor can it begin to compare in terms of character build diversity, endgame activity diversity, depth in almost any system outside of the moment by moment gameplay already mentioned.

people who are saying its a shallow and limited game that offers limited enjoyment are correct.

I played a lot of d3 from release, when was that? 2012? it was about a year before right went open beta in 2013 right? no? i think i played it non stop for that year, tried out poe on launch and never looked back until reaper of souls expansion came out. i play most d3 seasons now, probably for like a week and then im done because ive done everything there is to do.

in poe i play leagues for about the same time lol, a week or so, not because i run out of things to do, theres more depth in poe than i will ever fully explore. but because the gameplay is too shallow moment by moment and after 15k hours spent in poe im perma burned out by this point.

it needs poe2, so many people are just holding on because poe is an amazing arpg and were so invested in it, in terms of mind, time and money, we love the game... but a lot of people are just bored and fk. thats why some of the people are bitching, not all, theres many reasons for the bitching, but some players are long term burnouts holding on to a game they struggle to enjoy out of habit so they have no hunger, when the going gets tough theyre not enjoying it. ultimately they just want to get there, they no longer enjoy the journey.

D3 is fun, i think its safe to go check it out, it cannot replace poe, i doubt D4 will replace poe. blizzard are too shallow, theyre not arpg players. one of the big big devs in an interview when they first showed off d4 talked about how proud he was of his paragon 600 demon hunter... lmao, this fkin guy, paragon 600? I started the new D3 season on saturday and at the end of my first days play i was paragon 700, and im an average journeyman player. the people making d4 are completely clueless about what an arpg is and D4 will ultimately suffer similar longevity problems to d3, not as bad, but still there.
I love all you people on the forums, we can disagree but still be friends and respect each other :)
