J-Man.

You're deliberately misconstruing Chris' words in an attempt to smear the man because you're upset, frustrated, and looking for any excuse you can find to bludgeon Grinding Gear into giving you back all the things they took away from you this league.

I never said im upset or frustrated. I'm not either. You're just trying to pin that on me to make some lame explanation as to why I'm wrong. My point was valid, he said one thing and then the opposite. You can argue all you like but what I said was 100% right. Sorry if that upsets you but you should be more open minded and neutral (and maybe not trying to over complicate what he said, I feel like I'm talking to people who said "Trump didnt ACTUALLY mean to inject disinfectant"). Everyone knows what he said and how he meant it. This is just a game, no need to get so upset about it. chill out!

My point is when someone says one thing and then says the exact opposite then thats whats called hypocritical.

Please offer an example of this with actual quotes (no more "paraphrasing").

Thanks.
This scandal reminds me more and more of blizzard.

I think at one point he was the best dev in the industry but he has sold it all out. Greed has produced the dying game we have now. I have played this game faithfully since 2013 and have spent by a considerable amount more on POE than on any video game ever. In the hundreds of dollars, which for me is quite a bit for a game, for others maybe not so much. I have uninstalled PC and xbox and won't touch it ever again. POE was once a good game and the devs were once good devs but that all changed when Chris sold to the highest bidder. Imagine how our game would be if he hadn't done that and POE was still produced by an indie studio that loved the art they made?

This sums it up well. Chris has proven he can be in a league of his own before and for a long time took PoE in a great direction but something happened along the lines and player numbers are dropping. I haven't stopped playing but I HAVE lost a lot of enjoyment in the game now compared to a while back.
I'm starting to wonder if Chris has just been doing this too long and lost his drive or tencent are pushing him in directions that aren't good for player numbers.

Regardless, I have a lot of love for this game but I'm feeling less compelled to play with each league now. If things don't improve soon I can't see myself playing. I just hope things get better and player numbers increase.

One of those could be the case.

I remember few interviews with him when he was talking about the fast gameplay PoE has which is not taxing on the player. Where you can just play and relax.
He also was positive about speed meta somewhere after Legion legue, basically saying that better build will be faster build.

And PoE is designed in that way. Many things are on a fixed or background timer in this game.

On the other hand, he also said at one point that if it was only up to him, there would be only HC mode in PoE. But that doesn't mean slow either.

I was just pointing out the Chris says one thing and then changes it to the opposite sometimes depending on whats going on.

tl;dr: Chris's expressed priorities are Design Priorities > CCU > League Timing. What inconsistency?

What you guys need to focus on is the reading comprehension (or lack thereof) concerning Chris' recent post.

peak concurrency is a vanity number. Not all player metrics.
