And then :

"Player numbers are vanity"

Polar opposite comments.

It can be difficult to take anyone serious when they do stuff like this, it shows zero direction.

It's all a PR shitshow, bro.
They clearly have no idea what "vision" to follow!

I was just pointing out the Chris says one thing and then changes it to the opposite sometimes depending on whats going on.

In the first statement we learned they'll delay leagues in order for the time spent developing them not to have been wasted, and in the second we learned they're willing to make design decisions they believe to be good for the game, even if those decisions aren't popular.

It would be different if Chris had directly stated on one occasion that CCU is the most important thing to the team, and on another alleged they don't care about it. But having a list of priorities that includes player numbers neither in first nor last place is not "inconsistent."

It's like going to a restaurant with someone who chooses chicken wings as a starter, steak for their main course, and accusing them of inconsistency ("do you like chicken or not?!"). While you'll object to the comparison, I'd love to see you offer evidence of the analogy being flawed.

This is why I accused you of going for a gotcha. Instead of tackling what he's actually said, you're quote mining... sentences you yourself wrote while "paraphrasing" him. What I quoted of your post could only be true if Chris compared CCU to the same thing (design priorities or league timing) both times. But he didn't. It is very clear that he didn't. This is why you aren't just guilty of constructing a strawman argument, but of creating a criminally weak and transparent one.

tl;dr: Chris's expressed priorities are Design Priorities > CCU > League Timing. What inconsistency?

After several people disagreeing with you I can see you're unable or unwilling to understand (not sure why its just you though) so you have a nice day :)

GGG should've let the changes sit for a week to marinade, so the players could critique or relate to the changes on a more informed basis.

Backpedaling too early seems premature.
Ye know what gets me about people shrieking like hyenas over the splinters thing?

Grinding Gear gave you an entirely new dedicated storage tab for them, for free. They didn't sell you a Heist tab - they gave you access to a Heist locker to store (most) all your Heist junk, and this league they added it to the affinities system so you don't even need to interact with your Heist locker unless you're actively doing Heist shit. Same with Expedition - you can drop your junk off in the field via the NPC, and Grinding Gear isn't charging you for the whole-ass new storage tab they're giving you. They learned their lesson - storage-intensive new leagues get their own integrated storage, no more charging players four bucks per league to hold onto their loot.

Why are splinters still an issue, exactly? Is it because you have to click on them and pick them up? I mean...this is a loot game. Are we not supposed to pick up loot?

Sarno's not the one missing the point, J-Man.

Player concurrency is an important metric for Grinding Gear. it is not the only metric. There is a difference between "we don't want to release our next league within twenty-four hours of the launch of one of the most anticipated and hyped-up games of the whole-ass decade and have our league launch fail completely and fall on its face because every human being currently alive will be playing Cyberpunk, instead" and saying "we knew we'd take a concurrency hit with this league, we were prepared for it and the launch is still performing within expectations".

To me that is the most satisfying part of the game - picking up that loot. That's what I (mostly) play for, and I don't care if it's not automated or takes a few seconds as I'm not a speed player. It's so satisfying to hear my filter's custom sounds and then get loot all that stuff on the ground after a hard fought battle.

I honestly do think it's because people don't want to have to bother picking stuff up. Well different strokes and all that. They find it annoying, I find it satisfying.

My point is when someone says one thing and then says the exact opposite then thats whats called hypocritical. Feel free to go look it up in the dictionary but thats its meaning and thats what he said so no, I'm not missing the point at all.
J-Man.

You're deliberately misconstruing Chris' words in an attempt to smear the man because you're upset, frustrated, and looking for any excuse you can find to bludgeon Grinding Gear into giving you back all the things they took away from you this league.

Again - there is a difference between the company being willing to take a hit in pursuit of their design goals and direction and the company throwing away a league altogether and having their launch fail outright because literally the only people who'd be playing Ritual would be the people who were literally being paid to play Path instead of playing Cyberpunk. You're completely ignoring a crucial difference of degree there in your drive to label Chris a hypocrite - which you are only doing to try and bully Grinding Gear into reverting their changes and letting all the powercreep back in.

Naw. Sarno is absolutely correct. Please stop.
