the mana nerf and how its effected your build
i know nothing about leveling with the changes

^ I am glad it didn't change your three-link at all, lul.

many of my builds are unplayable

My 2 cents to the topic:
I am playing a fast-attacking lightning raider in 3.15 and I can tell you that on a 6L it is basically impossible to use multistrike. I am on about 5 aps on my current setup and on a 6L I would use about 40 mana. It is impossible to counter that with mana leech without investing heavily into max total mana recovery. I didnt try it but I dont think it would work because there is limited amount of max total rec. on the tree. And we are talking mana recovery so yeah. Lots of points spent. Second option - which I am using - is to swap in inspiration instead of multistrike to lower mana costs + use an enduring mana flask. It works very well for mapping. On map bosses well I destroy them relatively fast so it works here too. For tougher bosses its a nightmare still. On Sirus or multi-boss mavens I at some point run out of flask charges and watch my char mostly auto attack. One solution would be to get -mana cost rings but that's not feasible so early in the league. Also, I dont even know if it would solve the problem. Another idea would be to not go on a 6L but a 5L with inspiration but I have tried that and you kind of need the 6L really because of the dmg nerf. Another idea is going for less APS but honestly, if I want to go for a 1 APS earthquake build I would go for a 1 APS earthquake build. Overall I think they went way to heavy on mana especially during early game. Late game I guess it would be fine if you dont go for some high APS melee builds which are the most fun (to me). So yeah. Guess you can remove multistrike from the game though because it is literally not playable. Also, because someone mentioned ranger: you dont really have an option to go for mana recovery because its not there, its not in the tree for ranger. I play raider myself and even if I would want to go for mana I couldnt really. Not enough + mana reg. on the right side of the tree. Also, I dont think it makes sense that melee should invest more than a couple of points into mana which you kind of do when you go for mana leech. Needing that extra enduring mana flask is tedious because if its not on you are OOM all the time. Edit: inspiration obviously is useless for phys melee builds so yeah. Doesnt make a lot of sense to bascially *require* that gem on a 6L to make the build even feasible. If you do not play some sort of elemental melee type you got to go low on APS. I really only play my 99 necro and 96 gladiator on standard and after the patch.. oof necro damage was cut so bad.. around 19m prior to patch down to around 7m after (lets just say my zombies couldn't take down the poison conq without them all dying to poison in the middle while chasing him, prior to patch they could kill him before the poison even spawned). Mana isn't an issue since I only needed enough to cast desecrate/offering/flame dash, had to lower the precision though.
My flicker gladi wasn't hit so bad, only lost 1-2m in damage but he never got past around 8m anyway. Also had to lower precision to a very low level but now I have enough to cast flicker once LOL which is enough since I have a mana leech node but having to hear the message for not enough mana every so often is annoying. |

" just fix your builds, if you have to swap 2 or 4 points over into mana nodes then boohoo, do it and get on with it. I love all you people on the forums, we can disagree but still be friends and respect each other :)

Holy cow the mana cost for Cast while channeling is huge, and they took off the added more damage from the gem. I have almost 200 mana regen per second and I'm still running out of mana. CWC used to be cool but now why bother, it really is a feel bad change.
