Did chris really say he wants POE to be like dark souls ?
" LOL. The patch launched 11pm my time of course I will just create my character and log off. The player drop you see in the graph are probably people like me in different time zones. Also it's summer and weekend...I have no desire to sit the whole day in front of my PC now. People have lives you know. Just logged in and as you can see the chart went back from 50k to almost 100k. So wtf are you talking about ? Last edited by MegaTen_IV#3375 on Jul 24, 2021, 3:03:50 PM

" You didn't downloaded the patch but you are passing judgement on it without playing it? [Removed by Support] Last edited by JC_GGG#0000 on Jul 24, 2021, 3:13:25 PM

" This 100%, this people like streamers just copy pasted builds and behaved like they know anything about the game when in fact they don't and it shows now that they increased the difficulty, they are now leaving because they are incapable of solving the problem by themselves... THEY WILL COME BACK WHEN SOMEONE ELSE SOLVES IT FOR THEM AND GIVES THEM A BUILD. This game needed to go back to their original premise, the game was becoming a joke. |

Despite I'm being a bad player, I never got one shoted in dark souls...

" This is completely right. Like i said to some complaining: "Just play another build". Now you actually have to think and simply try out things and it will be fine. That is what the game was all about and they bring this back. For example the most obvious (to me), people complain that they get frozen on the first act and leave just because of that. Solution, use a spell that freeze the mobs, so they freeze before you get frozen. This goes both ways. Ok, that was for the real beginning, but still. This is the general idea, thinking of what to do against something. Resistance became nothing, while now it became somewhat useful again, this could go much further to me. Think like a new player. They get their primary ability and then they get their support. Everything is going fine. They get to Hillock with half a mana flask.
Now there are two living possibilities. They either kill Hillock before running out of mana or they wander around aimlessly until mana comes back minutes later or they die. That's not a good look for the game. There is at least one remarkable class which is the marauder who struggles with Hillock now that will have quite a time if he runs out of mana. This was never an issue before 3.15 changes. I have my doubts it's the only one. Not that Hillock is harder but you're considerably weaker and so now have to run around sometimes for longer than should be the case. Of course the argument is so what? The game pre-3.15 had the mentality of offering everyone something even if it didn't know it was. Casuals would play the acts every league. Some decent players would hit maps and grind maps for a few weeks. Others, fewer still would get to red maps and bosses. Now the game is pushing down on the entire community it built over the years seemingly unwittingly. The old checks and balances the community grew fond of are gone. So it's offensive to both old and new players. I'm not sure what the answer is for flasks but I can tell you this. The remarkable thing wasn't the flasks themselves but how garbage your character felt without them. Maybe nobody actually considered this. IF the game wasn't so punishing without flasks you could maybe consider cutting into their power. Not that they should be irrelevant but their existence up to this point has been a requirement, not a luxury. Last edited by Izrakhan#0832 on Jul 24, 2021, 8:10:44 PM
