a: while both store items in a database, the former needs to pull item changes item by item from the api, the latter is directly connected to the item database

a: private indexers need no database to store items in there, they directly process new item announcements after they pulled them from the api. poe.trade stores items in the database first before you can search it

GGG has answered this question in multiple dev manifesto's press appearances, podcasts as well as here on the forum.

clearing out the trade database every league would fix it and massively reduce server load. why does there need to be listings from over a year ago for 9999+ mirrors? trade will likely never be fixed

GGG pls disable private indexers or add higher delay to them/fix bugs or doors that allow some private indexers search items faster...

GGG u can try it urself - when new leagu started in 1 and 2 days from start leagu try this get tabula or someth super popular and make before live search here "tabula" and add to sale ur tabula u will see bots and private indexers will whisper u faster than https://www.pathofexile.com/trade/search show up ur tabula on here... so they even faster (10/20/30sec) than this site show up it here

some bots alrdy have some kind private indexers integrated that works faster https://www.pathofexile.com/trade/search

GGG either add delay to private indexers or at least fix bugs/doors where bots could get much faster items search options than ur site https://www.pathofexile.com/trade/search... pls do something or else you force ppl to use there bots to buy faster gear/currenc
