They should be back up in approximately .atlas not resetting to 164/164 completion...

Well if you bought a legacy map and THEN corrupted it, it was change to new series map and that's why it didn't work. [/quote] So I cannot buy a legacy map and corrupt it, and I need to buy an existing Rare and Corrupted one to run? |

So Im a new player and not knowing this would happen I converted my maps before doing anything.
Does this mean that I lost all my atlas progression in standard. GGG really needs to look at this, there has to be a better way to go about this between leagues. At least give us a warning and or steps to upgrade our atlas. Im still new to this game but seems like backwards coding of this mechanic... |

" exactly. and i only play standard. my guild has helped me out in getting back to 164/164. have pretty awesome members with killer builds. " i have to disagree. GGG tells everyone that it is intended when in fact, ALL atlas progress is stored in the database and GGG can't seem to find a way to make that update with each new league. so, they make you run your maps to trigger the event to update the atlas and it don't transfer all of it. just poorly coded database query is all it is. i've been working with databases for years and know how they work. simple to fix trade is toxic anymore at best and GGG does nothing about it. surprised they don't nerf it too LOL poe is going down fast. Diablo 4 and Baldur's Gate 3 have no performance issues. play them instead

" Yes you can corrupt it yourself. I did it, but there is a chance that the corruption changes it to another map, and then it will be converted to the new version. As long as you hit any other outcome, you are fine. I think the possible outcomes are: 1. No change 2. New mods 3. Other map same tier 4. Other map higher tier (not really possible on a T16, but I guess the alternative is included in the roll, and the outcome will be the same as 3, as per standard map roll rules.) If I'm correct about the above, there is a 50% chance of sucessfully corrupting a legacy map yourself. If it changes to another map, you're screwed. You need to decide if you want to avoid the hassle by buying a pre corrupted map. You can also update the Atlas in stages, taking a lower tier map first, and then a rare corrupted T16 map later. The T16 map will then update the rest. I don't know if there are limitations on this, but I sure had a clunky run getting to 159/164: 1. I first did a legacy T10 non corrupted to test the nerfs - not really thinking about the Atlas at all at that point. Completing it unlocked 117 bonus objectives. 2. I then did a legacy T16 non corrupted, and that unlocked 157 awakener objectives. 3. I then did a new version corrupted T16 map, and completing it unlocked the awakener bonus for that map only. 4. I finally tried to currupt a legacy T16 map, first failing two times, because it changed to another new map, and then finally unlocking everything to 159/164 when I completed that. Smooth sailing? Not even close. |

" Unless you trade for a legacy map, yes. " Standard has never been a priority for GGG, unfortunately. I have already suggested my thoughts on how to improve it in this thread, but I'm not at all confident that they will do anything about it anytime soon. You could contact support and ask about it, just don't get your hopes up. The easiest way is to just trade for a corrupted T16 map - if your build can still do one, that is. Luckily, my freezing pulse totems turned out to be fully capable of T16 even after the nerfs. Last edited by Bigfoot79#2760 on Jul 24, 2021, 1:39:13 PM

" I agree with you here. And as I already said, a simple button in the Atlas would be a much better trigger, even if they for some crazy reason doesn't want to fix the bad query. What I think they are trying to avoid is having this being automated on logon. That could kill the database, just like we saw during the last league start. But a button trigger in the standard Atlas wouldn't cause such a problem. At this point it seems to boil down to not being a priority. And that will certainly hurt GGG in the long run. Let's just hope they listen to the feedback when they finaly decide to do something about it. It won't be anytime soon though. Probably not before 2.0, but at that point, I don't think they can afford not fixing it. I predict this league will show lower player numbers after 4 weeks than we have seen in years. Not just much because of the Atlas issues, but with a lot of players having their single character left completely unplayable, it will be bad. This is why every other company out there just give in to the power creep, rather than fixing it. I have to give GGG some respect here, for trying to handle it differently. It will be interesting to see the aftermath of this. It's just a shame it punishes the casual players in such a big way. |
