you also need to have atlas level at 8 to get most of the completions

Just complete the highest tier legacy map you've got and you will get most completions back. Make sure to run it rare and corrupted. It works for every tier not just T16.

i had 164/164 before league start. last league start i did not have this problem. i ran a corrupt T16, killed the boss, and my atlas populated again. my atlas is in fact A8.

i ran one of maps that were now missing from my atlas and i now have 160/164. i can no longer survive vaal temple map after the nerfs and want that completion back. so, i have put money into the game and GGG decides to take things away and ignore a request to give that back and most players just lay down and take it just because GGG says that is how it works.

atlas progression is stored on the server as well as everything else you do in the game. i'm not asking for anything that should not be returned

Not a bug as already explained and per game design of GGG. it's been like this for several years.

You need to run a LEGACY CORRUPTED T14/T15/T16 map and COMPLETE is to get your atlas restored. Depending on the map tier you run, more or less will be restored.

Sadly this is per game design of GGG. Since there wasn't any Atlas tier change with last release you didn't have this problem.
A LEGACY CORRUPTED T16 map will ONLY get you to 160/164 after a Atlas tier change. Again this is per game design of GGG and have been like this for several years.

Well my atlas is now 160/164 and 159/164 and I didn't do ANYTHING else then run at LEGACY corrupted T16 map. But you are 100% correct, my mistake that I forgot that there is now 2 Atlas values that I had to post.
So sorry about that.... LOL

I think the mechanic of having to run a map to update everything is a very lazy way by GGG on how it is handled. Especially since you don't get any help in-game on how to go about it. For any casual player, this is horrible. It really shouldn't be more complicated than pressing a button in the Atlas to update everything, similar to the update maps button in the maps tab. That even seems easier to code than the current way it is handled.

Alternatively, a simple note with an explanation when opening the Atlas after conversion would go such a long way. I'm thinking something along the line of the message you get about the option to do a full respec on the skill tree when you open it after conversion.

Even better would be a highlighted link to an in-game help-page with all relevant info about these league transitions.

Worst case scenario; an SSF player converts all their maps before doing this. Then you are completely screwed. And as people have already commented in this thread, trading for one doesn't really appeal to some people either.

I think this is really, really bad for player retention, but It seems they only think about leagues when looking at player retention. In the end, it is up to GGG to decide if they want to do anything about it, but I can't imagine any other game company of similar size out there that would get away with this without major controversy. Maybe there just aren't that many casual POE players in standard?

If you had 164/164 before this patch, and you run an old vaal temple having AW8+ in your atlas, you will be at 160/164. That's how is intended to work.

There are always 4 t16 maps you have to run corrupted again in order to achieve 164/164.

I did not know better and updated all my maps, and so i went to buy a leacy t14 map (Sulphur Vent) and I completed it RARE and CORRUPTED. But i still did not get my completion back. Anything wrong?
