The Goodbye Thread

Having to TP during a boss fight to fill your mana flasks on campaign content fucking sucks. Gonna dip out of this league before I waste too much time.

I started this game when it first came out and I dipped then too because it was too much of a chore. They found the sweet spot and I invested thousands...

Going back to that seems a poor choice.

Please don't mention POE used to be hard in the past. Communications used to be slow in the past, will you revert to wired phone instead of smarthphone?
BB from me finally.
Will POE 2 even change anything?
Goodbye boys seems poe was not the game for you hehehehe *Smirk*
Still sane exile?
Definitely will not be getting my support in the future.

3.13 was the pinnacle of PoE. IVYS+1 Gang 4 Life.
Yeah,

old lad saying g'bye.

It's been fun in 3.13, it was sometimes arrrrrwful, but there is something called real life and with your changes in mind i don't want to get from work in rl to work in game ...

best regards
So sad what they did to that game. I said bye bye also and there is only a small chance that I ever come back. POE2 what it showed so far is not appealing at all and well that does it I guess. Why they try to change the meta of a game in that drastic way. People play POE because of its fast paces style and feeling good to one shot stuff and having fun. Now its annoying and boring. People come home from work and want to have fun not to be annoyed. They started to annoy the hell out of the game about 6 to 9 month ago and since than you can see the retention and player base going down. 6 month ago they had a grace period because harvest was great and the Covid situation. But GGG misread the situation completely. Covid will not last much longer and making a game annoying will not retain a player. In my opinion the only thing what can save POE now is a BIIIG change. Chris point of view how a game should work is outdated and needs a real overhaul. Why try to change a working concept.

Some people.

But I do agree that nerfs and rebalances like this will make a lot of players leave. Those that were here primarily for that fast paced zoom style will probably not like the game right now, nor would have liked the game in the very beginning in 2013-2014 when it was seriouly slow-paced.

I personally don't want to go back to that, but I'm not qutting over the rebalancing either.
I don't even mind the nerfs. I played PoE back when it really felt like a logical next step / spiritual successor to D2, back in 2014. I still play D2 like once a year (in the ladder season, so, new character, all the way through act 5 hell. OCCASIONALLY I'll make a character capable of doing ubers in d2 but not every year). I like slow, well-balanced games.

These changes aren't bringing us towards that. We still have dozens of time-gated league mechanics in the core game. If every league mechanic was more like expedition and monster burst damage was cut in half then you could say that the nerfs were bringing us back to 1.1.5-era PoE.

But you can't say that because the game is still a game where you only have incentives to go at lightspeed and if you fail to do so you will get oneshot by packs.

I look forward to seeing what future patches bring but I'm not subjecting myself to this one. It seems absolutely miserable.

Wrong. 3.13 was the peak of this game because fast *is* fun, but 1.1.5 was actually more fun than this patch because it was fucking balanced.

I'm not playing this league, but I can't say that I'm quitting exactly. I think I am just going to wait for POE 2. Hopefully GGG will have their sh!t together by then. Its hard to not play though, POE has become such a staple in my life. It actually saved my life, so I feels weird not playing idk.
