Exactly, ignore what people say! It's all about their actions!

" Most items are from people who craft, not those who identify them. There are far too many combinations of affixes on items Here is an example: ![]() to get a useable ES chest with 2x T5 defence and 2x T4 resis its average 2384 chaos. to get a chest like that you have to identify 2384 vaal regalias on average. do you understand now what people mean with "no gear progression through looting" ? You either save up chaos and buy it for ~20c or you become a crafter. When you craft items, you basically spam away fossils, chaos, alts, whatever it doesn't matter. you sell as soon as you get something worth more than base+investment regardless of how shitty it is as long as it sells. Keep repeating that non-stop and over time you'll have rolled the lottery enough times to score some big ticket items, those you either sell for alot of currency to keep rolling more items or if its good enough you offer service for Since there is alot of people who have the time (or dont want to since its an ARPG not a crafting sim) to learn the vast amount of crafting systems, you'll just save up currency and buy upgrades from crafters or get really really fucking lucky. Very cool mirror Service: https://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/3227915

" I started playing in Delve and people could oneshot every boss back then, with even less gear because you could just multimod garbage weapons into endgame weapons! So even if we take GGG's argument that the game was good in Metamorph with monster HP 4x buff, but garbage in Delirium, Harvest, Heist, Ritual, and Ultimatum, that doesn't explain the time period prior to Metamorph where they were 100% happy with players oneshotting all content easily. The fact that aura effect is 90% of the reason the last 5 leagues were 'trivialized' is also pretty ironic since it's untouched in Expedition. Chris does have a good point that people will adapt. Metamorph was a 4x effective player damage nerf (same as Expedition) and players adapted. That league added super fun crafting alongside actual new endgame content though. This league removed crafting options and added absolutely nothing but a new bloat mechanic. " Lol! It might be more fun if every build was nerfed down to the same level and movement speed for everyone was nerfed down to the same level. But that didn't happen with Expedition. There is no even playing field. Things just got worse for everyone but the 0.1%. " Oh good to know that he was just taken out of context... " HAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHA he literally doubled down. Completely out of touch. " I don't believe Chris has ever played the game in the last 3 years. See you in 3 months, perhaps. |

Itemization and drop % are my biggest gripes. Like this game is inspired by d2 yet the loot is so.. I just cant even believe it.
When 98% of unique and 99% of rates are useless that's makes simply playing the game boring and dull. Know that all my upgrades will come from the flea is just not fun. Why is this such a hard concept to grasp? Level appropriate items drop in the right zones. Rares and unique not being totally useless. Imagine. Anyway I'll play like I always do maybe. Out of boredom I'll atleast play for a week. Once d2 open beta comes I'll be gone for however long that lasts. Then once Sep23 rolls around I wont touch PoE til launch of PoE 2. So Idc either way |

tl;dr; I'm playing raider because I want my freaking onslaugh out of the box and be sure that I'll we be livesearching my way to the end game this league xd. Everything for the pog!
" The loots in PoE are way more streamlined and abundant in PoE. However there is a barrier in the game. If you don't play by the rules you loot nothing, aka using the correct scarabs, sextanting, investing into watchstones, using game mechanics at their fullest. Lots of things to diggest but the game is on the generous side if you know what you are doing. Last edited by galuf#4435 on Jul 22, 2021, 10:18:34 AM

"I suspect this is because we're gamers first and businesspeople second"
I can't really agree here, sorry. I played some LE, and saw a blood skill PoE did not have at the time. PoE then got those. It has bosses that have the pizza slice ground effect, PoE then got those (Maven). It has had deterministic crafting since early on - this had to be tried in PoE too (Harvest) regardless of impact on balance. Now D2R is coming, PoE basically has an implementation of most of the skills from D2 and an intended meta shift. I'm sure GGG is filled with gamers, but the direction things have been going look too much intended to keep possible competition down. I also feel that for too many players backing arguments for changes come 'out of the blue'. Plenty of threads that show this. If you were gamers first you'd feel the issues players have more and you would have not so rigorously thrown things around. The resulting questions players would have would not have been "Why??" and "What does GGG want to reach with this?" I personally do not mind where PoE is going, but there is quite some distance between the view of the creator and the player. If you were players first, there'd be less of this distance. Additionally, you respond to Reddit more than to your own forum. It's because more people read Reddit and Reddit is out in the open and reaches a larger public. Just had to get that off my chest. Did you try turning it off and on again?

Did I just read "The game is more popular than ever so we're going to shift our focus to the vocal minority"?

You dont get What I am saying. but in that regard theres too many mechanics. Ive been here since Closed Beta. and loot back in the days when lioneyes glare and the likes were top items were much better than now.
I reinstalled d2 after about 15 years and even running thru the acts loot feels 100x better. When i get a colored drop I basically know tis an upgrade. I id magic and rare jewels etc, because all of those items have a chance at being useful. In poe, haha, if it isnt one of 5 items then it just goes tot he currency trash bin to trade for what I actually need. Finding something id personally use in poe at any point is virtually non existant. That is a problem. |
