Game is getting too punishing ?

After one the latest patch,i noticed this game is getting very very rippy!
I have been around for 7 years now,and never have i died like this till now. I have an aura stacker with a 90% All res and 86% Phys reduction.Havent been doing Simulacrums in a while,so decided to do one... Well pre-patch i could sit there and take at least 4-5 hits from Kosis and than panic and run. Now wave 19 Kosis spawns-1 shots me... I re-enter Kosis one shots me i re-enter Kosis one shots me I re-enter Kosis one shots me... So all in all i had to switch to Minion build just to kill Kosis. I ended up losing the simulacrum at wave 19. Never have bricked a Simulacrum till now,have probably run 70-80 of them... Same char on t14 Orchard,90% all Res 86% phys reduction-Porcupines 1 shot me everytime... It seems the defences we are building are no longer enough to counter the buffs of monsters in juiced maps. I invited a high lvl max block life gain on hit tank in the same orchard map,and he got one shotted... Pre-patch i did 80 maps deathless with my Carrion golems build,was at 76% exp,after patch i lost ALL exp in one day to unexplained teleporting monsters,and basicly a lot of things that off screened me. My spectres offscreen a lot of monsters,but it seems these monsters can offscreen more,than my spectres can... I have the wierd feeling things are getting a little bit too out of hand,in an attempt to fix the power creep! I understand that there is a very serious power creep lately,but making everything one shot us will fix things? Last bumped on Jun 29, 2021, 6:46:16 AM

Thats why we play other games mostly now.
PoE is balanced about Act2 atm, and its a game for streamers where more deaths - more hype. |

lvl 97 and only 44 deaths all solo in trade league with BigDucks BF.BB build guide on Youtube. I am using the sword and board variant with my own finishing touches pn gear, and so far it is pretty satifying, although it foesn't have the best clear, it is a good bosser, and built/played right, you can do Sirus8 Deathless. It just takes time to progress your gear upgrades with A LOT of determination/persistence to not give up on the build is all. I think I've invested something in the ballpark of 30ex on this toon thus far, which over the vourse of a league, really isn't that much tbh.
I run most ultimatums to the very end with hardly any issues, unless the ultimatum itself doesn't have a whole lot of room to maneuver then I might either skip it depending on the type of ultimatum/initial mod choices, or run it and cut it short. I would recommend this build as it is the only build I've played this league so I can focus on it's strengths/weaknesses, and play it to its successes accordingly. Haven't touched the game in quite a while. They've removed the motivation I had to before hand, which was crafting. All endgame content looks like a 'Big Boys Only' playground that I don't particularly feel like grinding to get into as the rewards are, meh? Its just a roulette on Sirus for awakened gems or grinding currency through various channels which has no meaning to me because it can't enable me to make anything truly exciting in any reasonable amount of time.
So long story short, I play other games and check back here for news and shitposting. ~ I am Wreaclast middle class and proud of it!

People play to 95+ in Gauntlets, in a Solo-Selffound environment. If you die permanently, it´s you missing layers of defense. Period.

This game has always been punishing. Although elements that used to be punishing are no longer punishing, new things took their place.
I still remember my first experiences with Dominus and Malachai. Absolutely grueling death fest. Thanks for all the fish!

your build is not tanky at all as well as most of other aura stacker.
