Random question, what browser do you guys use while playing?
Vivaldi.
My bigger issue has been Windows Display Manager rather than any specific browser. I have a 144hz g-sync monitor & a 60hz monitor, and windows display manager will shove in & screw up the main monitor's refresh rate whenever it feels like repeatedly refreshing on the second screen (e.g. video (youtube/twitch), banner ads (even if blocked, e.g. gamepedia), etc). (Non-windowed) Fullscreen mode will maintain framerate on the main monitor, but makes tabbing out a pain, so I don't use it unless I want to watch video on the second monitor while playing. Simply minimising the browser will stop the stutter if I only want to play youtube music playlists or something. I suspect at least some of what people are blaming their browser for is actually Windows Display Manager (at least for those using different refresh rate monitors). | |
Brave browser.

I've heard good things about Netscape Navigator but will stay with AOL for the time being.

" I highly recommend it. It's also a perfect web browser for dear old Grandma without the dozen addons and about:config tweaks I would have to setup in Firefox just so I can guarantee she isn't going to install some adware or something. BAT's entirely optional but I do like the idea behind it. Directly paying your most-visited blog sites and stuff. Could be very related to PoE too. Think of poe-ninja, poe-lab, and those sites. Setup some auto contributing thing each month and skip the ad network middlemen. |
