They are not going to go through the Q&A, the manifest is the general answer to the Q&A thread, also the manifest includes answers to desync but it is NOT the point of the manifest, just one of the issues inside it.

This will be the best or worse patch ever. Hope everything will be balanced with other classes like Rangers, i see here only melee gems and power charge - casters.
I hope ppl won't stop playing ranged classes after that patch.

Don't worry, rangers are among the most played classes and melee needs a buff as projectile attacks have been a little bit overpowered in terms of what melee has.

Did you realize that melee build how much underpowered on higher difficulties/levels compared to ranged specs?

My mara is lv64, has 13k armor (71% dmg reduc for phys), and 50%+ allresist (51 fire 67 cold 75 lightning), along with some chaos resist (over 0%) in merciless difficulty. I still getting destroyed at certain areas in act3. Some melee mobs are killing me with 2-3 hits. In the case that you have to go in the crowd to kill the mob efficiently, this means oneshot in a lot of occassions. The damage is mediocre at best, i need 2-3 hits with a 4L full damage buffed heavy strike to kill a single white mob. The current aoe skills are weak or unusable due the high amount of desync they generate (like cyclone).
My gear is not godlike, nor my skill, but i'd expect to be able to clear an area on the same level on me with my mediocre gear i currently have.

TL;DR
These patches are trying to ensure the balance between the ranged and melee specs, not to ruin it.

The bandit waypoints have been moved away from their camps to prevent trivial boss farming.



This kind of sucks. I have to admit, when I get to the bandits in Merci, I find a group trying to do them, join, use the wp, and leave the group.

Then, once I have easily gotten the waypoint (and made sure I leveled so I don't lose any XP), I go in and solo the bandits. Maybe this is something they are trying to address.

On loot, the only one I've ever seen good loot from was Kraityn.

Conversely, I don't know anyone insane enough to farm Merciless Oak for drops.

The power charge on critical strike support gem seems to be a big downgrade for wand users. Now power charges will be easier to get, and available to a wide variety of "crit oriented" builds rather than being just limited to wand builds.

Wands don't get supported by quivers, or anything equivalent, and they don't have a lot of skills that a player can use with them. Instead they have two things, power charges and the ability to dual wield a ranged weapon.

Unfortunately to use any projectile support gems you have to use a skill on your wand, which means your pretty much limited to power siphon and that channels you into a power charge and culling strike based build.

My suggestion would be to please add in more INT based projectile skills, with the wand descriptor instead of the bow descriptor. One easy "new" wand skill would be a ranged version of dual strike for dual wielding wand specialists. Other wand skills could allow your wand to cast a weaker version of popular spells "on hit". That way wands would keep a distinct flavor versus the bow and quiver combination.

First step in the right direction thx so much. Hope it will have a huge impact on the performance in groups gonna try to party right after patch is out. Atm its not possible for me as rf marauder due to massive lags in parties.

Sure ok :)
For me everything was balanced.
I have 83 lvl dw with axes duelist, IR, IF, RT. Mix dps with armour nodes and hp nodes.
-5,5k hp, with 20k armour, 13k dps on my Cleave, i dont need Blood magic, i run auras(Purity, Hatred, Determination, Grace, Wrath) on mana and still can handle my skills without using bm gem.

When rangers (higher dps i saw) 15k dps ROA with 6l lioneye. Ok fine BUT their armour/evasion is soo low and when they got desync/lag they mostly die if they got caught by mobs esspecialy by rhoas, also they can't use LA/ROA on mana without bm gem. I do. And as u can my see dps is similar to rangers but im tankier

Just saying i dont care if i will get higher dps than my 13k, sure.
I can tank high group of mobs with granite flask, enduring cry 80% dmg reduction and dont lose hp, 45k arm with granite.

Sry my english is bad. But hope u understood that for me everything was fine. If u need dmg on ur melee skils all u need is good weapons, just like lioneye on rangers.

Oh power charge gem can be used with rangers to get more crits on la,split arrow, roa etc, nvm, everything its balanced :D
