After 8y I only played for a few weeks and have enjoyed other games this league.

I think a huge problem for me personally is I dont feel POE allows for long term goals. Seems like when I set some inevitably a skill or other aspect is nerfed to the point that goal is no longer worth completing...even in SSF.

Im sure Ill check out the next league but POE has really lost staying power for me.

took me just 1 year to feel the same way. i think there are others in the same boat as you who also felt done with the game.

and earlier i mentioned of this psychological effect of staying and there someone just said it.

Salty burned-out vets compare the current iteration of PoE to the one they and others dreamed up on Reddit and wish they had. They consider every change request ever made (that they agree with) something that should have been in the game years ago, obviously and if it isn't, the devs are <insert epithet here>.

If you're comparing the game to what it was in Beyond I would expect you to be wowed by the content and quality improvements.

I've said it many times, but I will tell you again.

My issue with playing 100% deli non-fracture isn't the cost investment, but time-joy investment. We can still play 3 maps of fractured 100% deli by purchasing:

15x deli orbs
60-80 awakened sextants
60 chaos spams

If you haven't bought these supplies, they are a bother. Rolling them is no joy either.

Fractures is QoL. That's all. You get to play more than do cumbersome trades. I'd rather *NOT* play if I had to spend so much time setting up, and I currently dont, and others feel the same way. With fractures, you risk bad rolls and then you're stuck with modifiers your character is unable to do. This is a risk I am willing to take because I just want to play. I want to game, people want to game.

I do know for a fact now GGG moderation team reads what everything people say, and have faith they are smart enough to know they can't repeat the same mistake twice, so I do expect next league to be better. Now, whether or not dev's actually read is a different story.

I mean they could have made everything that is needed for the frac-strat SO FUCKING RARE that it would have been SO expensive in trade, that that strat wouldnt have been as rewarding as it was.

Imagine how well received that would have been in the community (especially in SSF where that stuff is needed to farm your shit together...)

(btw: a group that does that strat should have a trader. and know how to fracture their maps in a way that excludes brick-mods... just saying... xD)

and my trader said this league is so boring. he also said flipping is boring and buying supplies is more boring. he went to do other things after a short duration of doing all that, just like the rest of us.

sometimes you get mods -12 resist (and with mods) it becomes -15 to -17 resist. couple it with extra phy as elemental and 100% aoe and map becomes very difficult to play. I mean if you go without misinformation it can still be played with extra caution, but still generally, ez death.

there are other deadly combos.
