Make possible to give MTX gifts to friends

As someone mentioned. You can do this with a quick e-mail and I do mean quick. I've done it twice.
It might be in GGG's best interest to add this to the game though. Their support team is amazingly quick and helpful so give them a little less to deal with and put that Gift option in-game. Might get more sales over having to send an e-mail. "Never trust floating women." -Officer Kirac

" you dont trade equipment in dota and i´m pretty sure the other vale games you are talking about dont have that option either beeing able to easily "gift" mtx to other players would be abused for rmt it doesnt matter if you buy the mtx for the "rmt" directly from the shop or transfer it from your mtx stash |

Just to be clear my post was for currently sold items. Not this middle child concept.
I'm not sure about P2W trickery. Seems possible? The more real concern though is actually hacked accounts. I've seen it in plenty of games with the gift option. They will buy points and/or send gifts with current points to random accounts and then support has to back track all those gifts. I actually don't accept gifts from people I don't know in those games because the backtrack process often results in a temp ban while they sort it out. "Never trust floating women." -Officer Kirac

" I believe you're missing the point. RMT works both ways, mate. It's people spending money on in-game currency or selling in-game currency, which is obviously not allowed. The concern is that an option of gifting any item on the store would open up a new stream of revenue for those involved in RMT, which is less than ideal. I like gifting. I've done so quite a number of times in the past for friends that cannot afford the store or don't have a way to pay for things online. But it has to remain just that, gifting. If it becomes trading X for Y, especially with real life involved, it's a problem. It's a very slippery slope, unfortunately. Carry on my waypoint son, there'll be peace when maps are done.

Would love to be able to purchase an MTX gift for someone! Would love to give some to my guildies and friends :)
No to conditional challenges on top of RNG pure luck mechanics.

I would make it so that you can gift it only when you buy from shop. You can`t gift your own items. This way RMT couldn`t make any profit from it, and also you can`t have trade market.
How I see this: You open shop, you browse shop, you see something nice, you have 2 options : 1. Buy 2. Gift I was not thinking on gifting your own items, because then everyone would trade their boring MTX. |
