what build should i play as a casual to beat all the content in the game?

and how much hours a day do you consider as casual?

Put it this way: The phrase "I don't play enough to be considered casual," is an actual unironic thing to say around here.

Casual doesn't exist anymore.

i'd consider at most 2 hours a day as casual
and thats the problem with it
is it possible to beat the game while being casual?
it seems to me like the only way to be good in this game and have good rng is by playing it simply 10-12 hours a day

i tried different builds this league and all of them couldnt run t16 in yellow
just because they're completely off meta maybe (thats a different problem)
and i allready was playing like 6+ hours a day
i dont understand why the devs aim to get more popularity for poe because all the hardcore veterans from diablo2 and other games they're allready in the game i think but what about the casuals? is it intended to make the leave after 1 week or so?

the content feels grindier than any other free mmorpg i've played in the past 16 years (Archlord, Cabal, Warframe, Dekaron, Metin2 (i know its trash), BDO,

i guess the ggg does not care that the game gets dropped by casuals after like 1 week because its not approaching enough and too grindy

They care about:

1. Casuals that play for 1-2 week every league and ociasionally (most desired - every time) buy MTXes
- bait: new fancy league mechanique
2. Addicters - whatever bullcrap they serve, they'll swallow. They also buying lot of MTX
- bait: 'additions' to endgame, making game longer and longer, so addicted can play longer and buy more MTX
3. Streamers - because they will attract casuals and addicters

Rest is unimportant.

well looking at your profile, I wouldn´t call this casual. You would not get to 98 by playing 2 hours a day.

And for playing league characters it is hard to say what is needed, because if you do the league mechanics, it is needed to have a good working defence. I think I do not have to tell you about capping resi, Armor or evasion or ES, having enough chaos resist, while doing at least enough dmg to kill the bosses of red maps, alched and corrupted.

It depends a lot of what you like to play. As a summoner it is needed to stand in background having enough defence layers, while your minions do the job.
Other thing is face to face tanking the enemies by playing melee or now with phys spell skills and bloody work.
I guess the hardest to play character, for me, are the Robin Hoods Bowmanagers. Mostly glass canons with high dmg, but then you need the reflex as once we were young.

For this league, I would say tanky, tanky with enough damage to kill faster than the monsters do.
why does it matter how you define casual and put number of hours in it?

theres a big difference preparing 150 maps, roll them well maybe put some scarabs in the mix and prepare your atlas (or any kind of farm strategy) and grind for 2 hours and saying "this is casual because i only play 2 hours a day"

vs

standing around your hideout, reading reddit and making a random map here and there for 6 hours, being "hardcore because i play for 6 hours a day path of exile"

the discussion of what is casual and not according to the hours played is completly pointless

Largely depends on how you define beat the game. Standard or League? SSF or Trade? What content? Everything up to Sirus and Maven? T19 100% Delirium maps, 110+ quant the Feared and 10k+ delves?

Beating everything up to Sirus and Maven with 2 hours a day during a leage is easy and doable for pretty much anyone with some game knowledge because powercreep has trivialized regular content to the point of it being a joke. If you want to go far beyond that you'll require currency amounts that aren't obtainable by casually running a few maps every day. It requires a good strategy to make funds early on in the league and probably requires a significant time investment early on.

Or to put it in numbers. You can beat 95% of the content with 5-10 EX builds but the rest (T19 100% Delirium maps, 110+ quant the Feared and 10k+ delves) requires more around 100 EX and therefor much more effort and time investment. If you want to do that kind of stuff during a league with 2 hours a day you'll need a lot of knowledge on how to make currency fast and be very efficient in general to the point where you can't really be considered a casual anymore even if you play only 2 hours.

Real casual as like playing for 2 hours doing around 10 maps and then running to see why the children are trying to set the house on fire?

Then, I would say not really? Most budget builds, around 10ex, will start to run in some issues around T15. But honestly that is fine, so long as you're having fun?
One way for a casual player to "beat" this game is to play a support character for boosting other players.
The best POE Causal build

"Get bored and quit the game eventually"

Doesn't matter what you do. Beating all the content in the game as Causal is oxymoronic.
