Sirius boss fight not evasion friendly

Yeah I'm running 5.2k life with 55% spell/attack dodge and high evasion, next to a fully maxed pantheon. I have two bleed flasks, but I still get one-shot by the beams sometimes and also by the bleed orbs that he spawns. I refill flasks using snipers mark and am able to sustain those. The problem is that the fight is very choppy and you have very little chance to practice it with a new build. All the warlords have 4 stages at which you can practice at increasing difficulties and I have never died with them. Sirius has no practice stages and the usual dash and dodge playstyle that works with any other boss in the game is no longer good for this boss. I have to adapt my build just for this boss which is unfortunate.

You can take out watchstones before talking to Zana and opening his citadel if you want to practice at a lower awakening level. He's a lot easier on a5 and below, each level increases the level of the zone by 1 and gives him more hp. Also on A8 he heals back to 75% life before last phase.

Also what you said about dash in the first post is true. Flame dash is usually more reliable, although if you get hit & slowed by the rotating lasers then you won't be able to flame dash away

Thanks for the tip, ran him at a5 first time. I have nothing to indicate that my build was doing bad since I hadn't really died a lot before with bosses unless I didn't dodge/position myself well. Guess I will practice at lower awakening levels with this build first. I was a bit frustrated since it takes so long to spawn him again..
Yeah its a bit confusing, I have struggled with it a lot in the past. But once you learn how to track him and stay on his ass all the time (esp. during last phase) it gets a lot easier.

There are a lot of videos as well explaining his moves and how to counter them, because his moveset is actually very limited in the last phase. Basically the thing that kept killing me was when he does the clone/beam attack while the lasers are spinning and then follows it up with a die beam. Now I don't bother attacking at all during the laser phase and only focus on avoiding the lasers and tracking where he goes. If you can stay close to him at all times you have won the fight :) He is a lot less tanky than maven and there's no penalty for going slow with the fight, so he's kind of an easy boss for low dps builds

high dps save you a lot of time to manually dodge his attack (spell) and just dps him down in the last phase

yeah of course high dps makes every fight easier by making them shorter. Just that compared to something like maven/shaper/uber elder (where it heavily punishes low dps by giving more memory phases or more chance of screwing up the arena with permanent DoT areas) he's a much more manageable boss for low dps builds
You say Uranus and not Uranius
Very important

to me the last phase is cancer due to view angle.....WTF i have been offscreen by a boss and the game disallow me to zoom out which a few sec before the game did zoom out for me to dodge the storm....

My build has layers of dodge/evasion and 5.2k HP pool which is very comfortable in most maps. I switch between barrage and split arrows for single/multi target damage and bosses die quite quickly.

Non of that matters for Sirus.
Its spell block/dodge and ailment immunity you need to focus on.

His beam applies all kinds of ailments like corrupted blood, poison, chill, shock and ignite. If you cant counter that, you better dodge his beam manually.

Since the visuals cues are kinda unclear, especially if you dont know the fight well enough and you are in chicken mode, you should play with headphones because the audio cues are pretty clear.
This way can tell wether he teleported left/right of your poisition, meaning you need to move up or down according to the boundaries of the arena.
Or if you cant tell wether hes left/right this means he is above/below you so you have to move left/right, again according to the arenas boundaries.

Look up the Wiki, it clearly states when exactly he is going to trigger his beam while speaking. You want to dash away just before that to get out of the danger zone.
Like this:
"Feel the thrill of <fires> THE VOID!"
"You will long for <fires> NONEXISTENCE."
"Meaning is... <fires> AN ILLUSION."

Get used to it, practice and you´ll be fine.

elemental ailment yes (So Raider is very good) corrupted blood yes (so buy jewel with implicit; also it is a debuff not ailment ). But poison i cant remember it has

You are right, just looked it up.
His beam cannot deal chaos dmg and I was assuming it could and would apply the according ailment.

One thing less to take care off ;)
I support this post.

A lot of ranger builds are pure evasion/Dodge. This is also a design choice by GGG, as most evasion nodes a close to the ranger starting point. Naturally it feels weird to me to make a bow character with heavy armor, which requires a lot of strenth; on the tree close to the ranger is a lot of Dex, which supports this notion.

The fight is literally the worst thing to happen for a pure evasion build right now. Similar to OP, I can do anything in the game, but Sirius is incredibly hard. He one-shots sometimes with his auto attack and with the small meteor rain. It has to be the physical damage. I also got high spell dodge, but that doesn't help you much. Sirius almost always hits with his shit.

Note that I have beaten A5 Sirius this league, so I know what I am talking about. He can be beaten easily on lower difficulty levels to some extent if you stack some +Str jewellery and use Kaoms heart, but even with the additional armor, he sometimes one-shots you. It's a badly design fight if one class of characters cannot beat him anymore without incredible effort. Also I believe on higher difficulty using Kaoms is just a waste of dps, as Sirius will one-shot you anyway, no matter the armor, if you got only ~5k life (which most evasion builds do).

Maybe you need to completely switch into Ward gear, but I dont think that will help much either. The only real and reliable solution is to make another char just to kill bosses like Sirius. It sucks.
