Flasks need a complete rework. Zizarian nails the problem:

Back in 2013 the flask system made sense. You would use individual flasks when the situation called for it; you couldn't keep spamming all your flasks 100% of the time. Right now, flasks are just super strong equipment (3000 evasion, 3000 armor, etc exceeds the power of most actual gear) that requires you to kill your hand pushing 2345 every few seconds. Yes, this is a real issue and affects all players.

This Game is getting just Old without adding quality of life features and fixing problems.

Yeah flask charges are nice vs trash mobs but not really. Trash dies in one swing anyways, so utility flasks are wasted in these scenarios. In modern PoE flasks only matter vs Bosses and there are limited ways to fill them in such encounters. It should maybe be changed to damage done so they are more useful in all circumstances. Tldr: Flasks should only matter vs bosses or tough enemies imo to prevent RSI. Masterpiece of 3.16 lore

Lol whens the last time people used flasks when they called for it ? Some still do but of course youre gonna be fucking slam pianoing your flasks because your broken build doesnt need an HP or Mana Flask and you can just piano your taste of hate/rumis/witchbrew/quick silver/bottled faith/etc. When you have uniques that give that give the best of everything it makes it pointless to have any sort of flask management.
Also to hit on this part about keeping flasks up all the time. Yes, you were. The end game meta before they started making all these busted unique flasks was to roll charge on crit flasks so you could sustain during boss fights and harder content. Obviously that becomes kinda dated when you one shot things but back in the day the end goal for any good build would be to go crit, that was specifically for flask up time. I can agree on general clicking for currency but flasks were one of the skill components of the game. Also flasks definitely were not stronger than they are now besides the legacy Rumis, Vinktars. Outside of those the strength of flask nodes/crafts, etc is stronger than before and theyve even introduced stronger flasks like Cinderswallow and Bottled Faith. Flasks are an issue because build power creep is an issue, this isnt inherently a flask problem. When you dont have to manage anything at all, of course youre going to pick up 4-5 unique flasks to piano LOL. TL;DR - Power creep allows you to use Flasks for Passive buffing rather than skill based utility use. Its not actually a Flask issue. When everything dies in one hit and managing and correctly utilizing flasks no longer matters of course youre going to go down the route of "well i dont need health or mana flasks so i guess ill just use 5 unique flasks because they offer passive buffs and massive power increases at no cost to me or my build". Harvest sucks! But look at my decked out gear two weeks in! Labyrinth salt farm miner. "But my build diversity" , "Game is too hard!" - Meta drone playing the same 1-3 builds for years. My 2c;
2 flask slots remove all other flasks than life/mana/hybrid make these able to roll all the current affixes add 25% chance to avoid x into the jewel modpool/maybe notables on clusters and for the leveling you could have different pantheons that grants partial immunity like we have for stuns now add immunity keystone for every ailment but make it have a heavy downside aka "cannot be frozen/cannot freeze" or go full meme like a Three Dragons buff armour/evasion on gear then we got to the biggest issue, Basalt.. this shit is pretty much a requirement for 90% of the builds. idk what to do with this d:-D*

Flasks are too powerful and having them up permanently because press piano every 4 seconds is bad design in my opinion. The uptime became so easy with clearspeed and extra charges gained or flask charges on crit.
Suggestion: can only have 1 flask active at a time. No nerfs required for flasks. Pathfinder get special node that allows to press piano all flasks but with 70% less flask efect. Other suggestion: (probably the way GGG will go in the future) nerf all flask effect by 75% less effect and introduce key binding in the ingame options to allow 1 button trigger all five flask slots. I think china realm already have this. |

Many people use macro to use all flasks at the same time for years, even streamers. But they still deny adding one-button-using flasks. That's really weird.
