[3.18] Tsus Exsanguinate Scion - all content done

WARNING!! Current Changes to Reservation Mastery has all but killed this Build. Ima reworking this shit, maybe it will still work ;)

Hello Ladies and Gentlemen!
Currently playing around with trickster mastery to salvage this maybe.

Change Notes:
Build in 3.19: I don't know if it will work. I currently play a version of this build.

Current version is a trickster based Evasion/suppress Build with targeted 100% suppress (check) 30k Evasion(5k to go) and ~50% block (maaaaybe) Instead of using Righteous Fire to push our DPS we scale the trickster Ascendancy. We also loose at least one DPS Aura...
As I said, we will see. (If you want to try it, buy the forbidden Flesh/flame from trickster now, they are still dirt cheap.)

Advice for eternal Blessing:
Divine Blessing still works fine, just have enough ES to cast it. (and if you do that, ES mastery is not need anymore)
As pride cost with divine blessing is dependent on you max mana, militant faith solves this problem for us. cheers.

Doable Content

As of Endgame Content Bosses, Feared etc. aren't a problem.
Ravaged blightmaps need heavy investment and intelligent tower placement!
Simu wave 30 needs heavy investment, and with heavy I'm talking about 100ex+ shit. You should reach about 10 mil+ dps before trying it. All bets are off if you pack HH or mageblood through.


Let's dive into the build:



Offense

We only use exsanguinate to do Damage, no corrupting fever, as the dmg increase is too low for a 4link and not needed anyway.

Supporting dmg auras are: Pride, Malevolence, Herald of Purity and sometimes warbanner
This is a selfcast Build! (0.4 seconds casttime => 2.5 casts per second, yes it's fast.)
Realistic dps is at 4+ mil for both trash and Bosses with Gem switch. (up to 15 mil with gg gear)

anomalous arrogance or! 5k+ life enables us to switch aura mastery to dmg per aura and still maintain slayerleech



Defense


Block
This build utilizes Block either with glancing blows(shaper shield) or with Daressos shield and without glancing blows.

Armor
This is an armor build. With the help of Defiance banner and Determination we get to 60k+ in Hideout without flasks. During maps you can push this to 120k Armor.
Don't be alarmed if Armor values are at 70k in Hideout. Values don't take the Mastery Armor and Energy Shield Mastery in account. Even with only 200 ES we should only be at low energy shield for milliseconds.
If you use pride as blessing, this mastery is not effective anymore, change it to something else!

Elemental ailments
This is our greatest weakness. Immunity would be awesome and is possible if we switch pride with purity of elements(say if you want to level and your dps is good enough) but in the dmg specc we need to get it somehow else.
Unfortunately we must use ailment duration reduction as there not enough avoidance nodes near.
we get:
immunity from chill, shock
40% from timeless jewel
28% from solipsism(not that important now)
as well as random 15% duration reduction potentially from cluster/jewel implicits

we also gain Debuff duration modifiers:
20% faster debuffs from arakaali
10% faster debuffs from temporal rift
ignite is seldom a concern, we have 90% FR and impurity if you want, as well as a rubyflask.

Elemental Defense
Thanks to the new prismatic skin as well as soul of steel we get at least 90/78/78 resists even without shaper shield. Shaper shield pushes that by 2 max resists, not too shabby. still, elemental damage can and will kill you!

Life gains
We have lifeleech thanks to watchers eye. (standard 20%) which can be pushed further with the life recovery mode of the watchers eye(23%). This is also a slayer type leech, it won't stop when you reach 50% as long there is enough space (at least 51% unreserved life)
We also have a strong life regen(about 1200+). Even with active righteous fire it still regs about 700 hps
every 5 seconds devouring diadem willconsume corspes to heal us.
1 Lifeflask(charge gain + bleed immunity)
With trickster flame/flesh you can get up to 4k ~ 4.5k net hps with RF up! (RF degen is only at 300 hps)

Dots
aka the bane of our existence. This is why we use arakaali as our main pantheon.
We overcap resistances and try to reach 35% chaos resist.
With trickster flame/flesh you also get 10% less DoT dmg.

Misc
anomalous petrified blood protects us from hit and keeps low life active as well as enables the slayer leech.
We gain temporal chains immunity from temporal rift.



Pros & Cons

Pros:
Tanky and Fast Build, outside of bosses and 200+ scourge nothing will really kill you.

No need for unleash/Spellslinger or Echo, des Build can substain 3 stacks of exsanguinate without problems, even with awakenend Swift Affliction.

Cheap Entrypoint for the build to work, can even be used as a league starter (see leveling section)



Cons:
Cannot do Phys reflect maps (Aztiri only with Sybils lamnent or phys mastery)

While it can tank most strafe hits even from endgame bosses, Movement skills are still required when dealing with elemental/Chaos dmg.

No it can't tank shaperbeam, just the slam.

Gem switch for Endgame Bosses(maven/shaper/uberelder/guardians etc)

Feels slow without onslaught(which happens when you oneshot too many packs and never get hit, so you need another way to trigger it. best would be boots enchant and getting chill immunity/effectifity from another source. Another option would be to go on 4 endurance charges early to strech onslaught buff

Aura Version has some trouble getting int!

requisite Gear

The gear we need that this whole Spiel works:

Daressos defiance gives us perma onslaught even at bosses with enduring composure. This makes the selfcast dream come true.

This shield makes capping block and spell block very easy. The corruption is optional but with my setup it's awesome. Or krangle it like my new shield!

This makes substaining our auras a piece of cake and gives us access to eldrich battery(and enables the mastery trick to get 20% more armour and makes mana a non issue)
watchers eye with lifeleech mod. If you don't have one, use the lab enchants for boots until you have.
Since 3.17 there is this amulet which is quite good:

The skill level is okay, but the efficency and the Quality are awesome. Efficency allows us to easily run Purity of fire and the Quality gives many advantages, most important the 50% anomalous petrified blood as well as buffing the stone golem, divergent bone offering etc further!

Nice to have:


Purity ring was about 20c, the other stuff was around 1 ex each, so nothing special

After getting enough currency switch to a rare shaper(or synth) shield with life on block and maximum resists(and glancing blows) - It will making substain RF easier.


Unnatural instinct(3ex): This quite expensive gem gives as MS CS as well as life and dmg for 4 points, its awesome but not that important. In my current Version the jewel would cost 2 point on tree(or lvl 99) so nope :D

The strongest overall Choice:
Trickster: 50% incl Life gen after DoT Kill 10% less dmg over time taken - frenzy charge gen in trash

The strongest DMG Combo:
Raider: 10% movement Speed - Permaonslaught at bosses - Frenzy generation at bosses - 20% Spell Supression - Phasing

Strongest defensive Choice:
Guardian - up to ~8% less phys. dmg taken - 25% curseeffect reduced - perma onslaught as long as purity minions are up - effective 5% life regen

Still quite good:
Champion: 10% more dmg done - 15% more aura effect
pathfinder: flask charges(kind of weak without more investment)

All others are either to weak or have too strong downsides.

Cluster and other Jewels

We need a physical Damage Cluster(battle-hardened, furious assault, iron breaker).
One small cluster jewel with enduring composure(or Megalomaniac with two other good nodes)

Militant Faith with Aura-effect and reduced ailment duration and high templar avarius which don't transform either relentless nor veteran soldier.
At start secondary modifiers are not that important, Avarius is!


Bandits, Gods and Ascendencies

Bandits: Kill all
Major God: arakaali
Minor God: Depends on map type and mods
1st Lab: 2 points towards Gladiator Node
2nd Lab: Gladiator Node 1 node on Witch cluster
3rd Lab: Necro Node
4th Lab: Path of the Witch


Tipps and Tricks

Mapmods to avoid if possible:
Reduced maximum resistance
Block reduction
Life reg reduction

All mods are possible, but quite annoying

Righteous fire gives a hard dmg boost but also nerfs our defense(only 300 hps reg left!), to migitate that I thought about the following things:
Keep life at about ~5.7k(depending on your lifereg. ttry to have about 200+ netlifereg with RF active), if you get much higher vitality will feel weaker.
Use an enduring hybrid flask (if you get above 50% life reg/leech will drop and the flask alone won't heal against RF and incoming dmg which brings it back to LL etc.)
anomalous petrified blood feels maybe stronger? i'm still not quite sure yet.
MoM unfortunately doesn't work with RF so i used the free points to get to 100 devotion

League Specific: at ~150 (depending on mapmods) scourge gets dangerous without leech up. Try to hit packs before they enter their engagement range to get leech up.


Levelguide

Act 1:
Pick up splitting steel and maim in act 1 and play it until level 12 where you get exsang. Switch to exsang as soon as you get a 3link. If you already have currency get lifesprig and use it with lifetap and efficacy. Pick and use vitality and Warbanner.
Clarification: the 3link is Exsang + Efficacy + Lifetap!

Act 2:
With gg leveling gear you could switch to 4-5link setup as soon as getting controlled destruction(and faster casting). Also, Pick up herald of purity.

Act 3:
Get determination(and use it) as well as malevolence/pride to level(don't use them yet). $ link should carry you well, get more defense. Do lab after dominus, it should be easy.

Act 4: Finally we get the clear. If this is the starter get a second 4link with chain+brutality+controlled destruction, and change Lifetap to brutality in Lifetap link. Otherwise build 6link in tabula with: Exsang+controlled Destruction+chain+brutality+cruelty+(faster casting|unleash|efficacy)

Act 5: Nothing to do here, just get on with it!

Act 6: Pick up petrified blood(don't use it yet) if you haven't already. Pick up the rest of the needed gems and level them.

Act 7: Nothing but going through there(maybe get the onslaught on kill ring) Do cruel after spider.

Act 8: After lab after you breach about 2.4k life and armor above 5k as well as max resists you could switch to lowlife, but as long as the damage suffices don't bother.

After that finish the story (do merciless lab before kitava) and level until you feel ready to do uberlab(protip: while in lab zones don't use petrified blood and life reservation outside vitality, you don't need the dmg, and traps are easier to deal with, you can enable everything for izaro.)

Done! Now the normal entry level Pob should work fine!

Hi, thank you for your guide, I followed one of your earlier build from andreshki's blood queen. I was having trouble with DOTs from enemies, shaper beam almost kills me instantly but i have no problem with sirus. then combined it with gryph's bloody mistress, removed MoM, but i have yet to try shaper again. I seem to be able to take some DOTs now. Again thanks.

DoTs are annoying as petrified blood doesn't stagger them. I'M currently testing tempered by war and 81% max FR and of coruse arakaali as main god as i have flask enchant for stun.

@ build
your phys dmg over time medium cluster is not that good. get one with rend and blood artist(about 2 ex) which bushed dps by a good margin (26% phys over time multiplier)

maybe get a ring with arcane surge on spellcast or trigger it yourself as you actually cast on mana :)

I'm trying this build out and for quite a while, it's felt very strong. I'm starting to feel very squishy in red maps though, anything I can do to upgrade my tankiness? I've got at least 5 ex to spend.

Decided to switch to this version of the build to try it out, but holy crap how do you live with Shield Charge as your movement. More than half the time I just slam in place and die. Having Fortify seems like it would be nice, but not actually moving when I want to move has lost me half a level of xp or more.

hmm it will feel better when you get to Sanctum of thought. For leveling i would use lori's lantern above cirlce of guilt if dmg feels good enough. You also have quite enough resists, you could get your watchers eye for one point less and get to armor faster. Another option would be a small cluster jewel wie auto generate endu charges and 30% armor.

Also one of the more important things:
I use the belt enchant regen ES while Boss/yellow is near. This is one of the strongest def mechanics as it trivialies ES reg for MoM. Try to rebalance your resists so you can use it.

Boot enchant: get 80% avoid to be stunned. While it's not as good for bosses, it still gives stun immunity with arcane swiftness, which may help you against ultimatums.

For damage: get to arcane swiftness asap, gives good def and a wooping 75% increased spelldmg.

It's an aquried taste! :D Just switch flame dash in your second wind link and go wild, or maybe drop shield chage completely and do with flamedash and supports. I think it will work out fine. small stuff stops to matter anyway after a certain amount of gear, and you need to dodge the big stuff anyway.

Well i do have an enlighten 4 gem :)

but if you don't have the currency you could switch replenishing presence/master of command to pure might on your medium aura cluster for the time being
