[STATISTICS] Look at how badly Ultimatum has been received...

It’s not even debatable, look how clear the immediate downward slope is...

Terrible decisions made in this league: nerfed everything fun, harvest balance stupidity, removing fractured maps was an asinine decision, deep delivers fucked. Unreal how the core of the endgame was fucked with here. The players have spoken - you made stupid decisions here GGG.

yup and they will do nothing to fix it because as long as stocks are high and they get paid from that who cares about actual players or product ...
Just FYI, steamcharts removes a lot of data points in the past and they use a smoothing function on their graphs. Steamdb is more accurate since it keeps all of the daily data points and has no graph smoothing.

But you're right. Ultimatum is falling slightly faster than other recent leagues.

The same slope exists in every league, and Ultimatum's current curve is closely aligned with Ritual.

From a pure player count perspective, there is still a 90k peak player count (weekday) after 2 weeks. By comparison, Heist and Delirium were down to 90k after 1 week, and Harvest was down to 78k.

Week 2 figures (%) looks closely aligned with most recent launches, and only slightly worse than Ritual. This is actually pretty impressive given that Ritual (and Metamorph) was an expansion league.

Sligh change is easily accounted for by the fact a lot of people can actually go outside now... unlike the entirety of the previous 12 months.

It's also ridiculous to even consider a notion that the number of people actually fracturing maps and/or delving past 2k has any impact whatsoever on those charts. Quite literally only a handful of people were ever doing this.

Exactly. They rather go outside, than play this league.... I mean outside is where all the crap things happen to people...

Tons of other games are having their updates as well now too like Apex Legends, pretty sure theyre on a very similar schedule to POE releases with their passes lasting 3 months and ending/starting around the same time.

Big game, used to be alright but now is just poop cause EA sucks ass and the game hasnt actually improved in either gameplay or design/optimization. Absolutely pathetic how much money theyve gotten, yet havent reinvested any of it.

Thats another reason why i came back to Path of Exile, not only is it fun but you can literally see your investment pay off. I spent a few hundred on Apex, was a Beta Tester and enjoyed the game, took a big break from it and came back the last two seasons and it was the most disappointing shit ever. Terrible laggy servers, still no tick rate upgrades, garbage recolors and poorly designed MTX, horrible balancing decisions and new character/map implementations, etc. Oh and anti-cheat is non-existent, which makes any FPS miserable to play.
Harvest sucks! But look at my decked out gear two weeks in!

Labyrinth salt farm miner.

"But my build diversity" , "Game is too hard!" - Meta drone playing the same 1-3 builds for years.

If those figures are accurate, I think the stats that will interest GGG most is the 154k on day 1 of Ultimatum v the 115k of Metarmorph. And Ultimatum maintaining much the same player retention as Meta did. That's the sort of 'medium-term market share' figure that companies like to see.

Also interesting that Harvest, the league mechanic that the forum regulars believe most transformed and improved the game, performed the worst during launch week with poor stats on day one and the biggest drop-off over the seven days.

I suspect this is because, while the no-lifers were euphoric that Harvest was the key to that double-corrupted three-implicit influenced 6xT1 6L OMGZ0R gg 5-Mirror chest they'd always wanted, regular players were finding that spending dozens of hours planning and laying out an enormous garden made the game play more like SimCity than an ARPG.

It only reinforces my perception that while the 1% insist that their complaints reflect the general view of 'the community', it really only reflects their own view - and the bulk of the player base have very different expectations and concerns.
I sincerely hope that GGG doesn't depend on players to do statistics for them.
The Ultimatum song :

Trial Master : I expect a better performance
Player : I expect better loot
Chorus(Duet) : As disappointing as it is

The end.
