Streamer priority confirmed. PoE is free to play, so play it for free, but Boycott GGG.
" Part of "old GGG" business model was the concept of "we appreciate your support and your dedication, and we won't give you any advantage in-game". Things change over time, but that's a foundation that set GGG apart from other companies who eagerly rank their players based on "worth". This foundation has now shifted. I'd argue it shifted earlier than we all think, but this is the first clear evidence that it did. Alva: I'm sweating like a hog in heat

" Yes, but they are also responsible for their business growth. Not everything is for free and most of it is not cheap as they say. Note that aside from making your player happy, they need to keep the stakeholders happy too. This is sometimes the turning point to decide which will have more priority or not. If GGG loves it players, they will make sure that they won't repeat the same mistake again. As they are also saying that this fiasco was a grave mistake. Now everyone needs to move on and enjoy the game. But there's someone who loves drama. Well we all love drama. |

" Look, I'm not suggesting they nuke the whole thing from orbit...but you do know that's how that one ended up right? Your decision to use that particularly loaded gif was, ironically, probably a bad call in itself. If I like a game, it'll either be amazing later or awful forever. There's no in-between.

GGG made over 50 million $ in 2019, even more in 2020...and now he bans people for trying to make the most profit in game...hmm ironic

" Your guess would be incorrect. Buyer's remorse is a relatively short-term sensation whereupon a person feels regret after making a particularly hefty purchase under stressful or difficult circumstances. This wasn't the case with me -- if anything, I knew I was doing what the article actually suggests: I was buying experiences, not things. The experience of making a unique item; the experience of getting to know actual game devs who, I felt, were on the way to something big but weren't there yet. The experience of helping, really helping, very talented people achieve their goal. These very positive feelings stuck around for years. They even outlasted my own personal enjoyment of the game. So no, this isn't buyer's remorse. I cherish almost all of my experiences with GGG and with the PoE community. Please do not try to put this back on me, or indeed any other Exile. GGG did this, not us. If I like a game, it'll either be amazing later or awful forever. There's no in-between. I am Path of Exile's biggest whale. Period. " I think the best word for this is "Fight for Justice" and not a cheap remorse. Equality and Fairness must be maintain at all reason and I am agree with the OP. But to boycott the business and not support microtransaction of a good game, its a different story. |

" No, right now it's the same story. You're just seeing the most recent chapter. Please remember my core message: enjoy the game (because it is a good game), but do so for free unless you genuinely want those mtxes and support pack titles/merch. Because the company who made this game so good have lost their way and aren't doing its goodness justice with their money-obsessed decisions. And do also remember that I pointed out in the OP roughly how much GGG pull in a year from customers alone (over 50m USD). The vast majority of them will never see this post -- many probably have no idea what even happened. This does not, in any way, mean those who do know shouldn't weigh up how they feel about it and decide whether or not GGG still deserves their financial support. I usually pose these things in the form of a question after presenting the facts as I see them, but in this case, I don't see any question other than, 'GGG did you dirty, Exiles -- what are you going to do about it?' If I like a game, it'll either be amazing later or awful forever. There's no in-between. I am Path of Exile's biggest whale. Period. Last edited by Foreverhappychan#4626 on Apr 22, 2021, 5:03:37 AM

" If GGG Team is being controlled by Business Team then it will be a problem. They should hire QA or at least certify themselves with ISO 9001 to implement quality management systems. With their lump sump of money, paying $10,000-20,000 for yearly certification is a piece of cake. They just need to train themselves and comply. While we are at it,
the T-shirts & hoodies in the bundles were made by child-labour. The toxic wastes usually get dumped into the next river or ricefield. Also Boycott Bananas, Avocados, Cobalt in Batteries, America in General, the coal and nuclear Industry, bitcoins for their unusual high energydemands/pollution, Taxation, International Traderoutes via shipping, Marriage, Brasilian Meats cause of burning rainforests, Handys and Electric devices for lowwage exploitation, those pricedumping supermarkets and i´m pretty sure i forgot several other false advertised products of our modern age. Would be funny if they had to print "This was picked by a child" on every banana. I´m also pro deporting selfentitled lazy reliant on socialwelfare Leeches(also known as streamers) to Africa, it´s an amazing continent, the opportunities to start a Coconut farm are present, with the internet they have digital access to the whole world, and with the local loginservers they shouldn´t have much competition to log in on their favourite computergame after they finished the work on the coconuts. And if Africa refuses to take them, then well, "Life isn´t fair" once they borded that train. On a more serious diagnosis, i think we miss the "We need an AH because the Chaos/Exalt market is fluctiating"-thread to conclude the 3month-forumgame cycle. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=drDs-Y5DNH8

" ^^ I know we are just speculating but it seems you and I are looking at the same page. Chris Wilson and co-founders are the very definition of the word 'dedication' but really, development and QA teams must not be put beneath the marketing practices of the company. If the release is not ready, then it is not ready, full stop - no nasty tricks and bypasses just to look good at streams, no obvious holes in mechanics that can instantly destroy the economy of the league. |
