Do streamers get bonus drops?
Streamers like Empy even get 20 free mystery boxes a couple of times so they can make a video of how they are opened...

" They say they don't give boosted drops to streamers ppl accuse then of lying and shitstorm just grows. |

" From a lawyer's perspective, if you are guilty, it's better to keep mom. What worse than doing something bad, is doing it, & then lying that you did not, & got found out. If you keep mom, & If people manage to find out you do that bad thing they said, you can just say, it was a bad decision or mistake. If you are NOT guilty, it's usually better to say you did not do it, & you can juice it up by demanding people who claim you did to provide evidence. Since you are not guilty, you never get to worry. There is, however, another simpler explanation why GGG keep mom. Because GGG just do not replay to pretty much anything unless it blows up. Even the harvest nerf which was a big topic, GGG NEVER made a response. |

" This idea, of course, also completely undermines the idea that Harvest had to be nerfed into the ground because 'god tier items were too easy to get'. Well, if you are referring to streamers doing it, then yeah! I always believed that Streamer RNG was a thing, and that GGG were corrupt and elitist that practiced favouritism, and I can't see how they can now deny it! |

i got strong feel they get better loot % chance. ofc GGG wont tell the truth or proof it. i lost a lot trust GGG after tis streamers come first.

The people who got priority queue on friday were asked for their account details so they could be put in the priority queue, why would that even be necessary if GGG already had a list of accounts that they gave boosted drops/better RNG to?
Same situation as the 'reset the league because people duped thousands of exalts' drivel - no one has come forward with a single shred of reliable evidence and as such their paranoid tin foil hattery isn't worth listening to. |

" You sound so naive, honestly. |

My 2 cents to this topic as programmer.
Every account has a unique UID. So if you implement a loginqueue it's very easy to add a whitelist. " Sure, in a real enviornment this may be a little more complex but the problem itself can be reduced to the pseudocode above. We already know, that they have paid some streamers to play the game. While we don't know the numbers (and I care way to less for the whole streaming scene in order to evaluate this based on who they (might have) paid), but according to the post I would assume that we are talking here about more than a few hundred dollar. So there where indeed in a very shitty situation: burn the money by letting the streamer(s) wait at login screen or enrage the community by letting them bypass it. Death or misery. GG GGG. About the bonus loot etc for streamers: Is it possible to do this? absolutely. They could add the mentioned whitelist to more functions and increase the chances for those people. Have they done this? IDK. Would it make sense to do something like this? From a programmers pov I can clearly say no. Lets say we have 100k players and 100 privileged streamers. That would mean they would have to do a check that hits for 0.1% of the players every time one of those functions is called. A single call that hits rarely may not sound much, but if we have a function that's called for every single item drop, I think you can assume how this would sum up. Besides that, every additional line of code, every corner case has the potential to a) cause unwanted problems or b) hurts the performance. I personaly care more about the dirt below my shoes than about the streamer scene. Because of this, I can neither deny nor confirm that the claims are true. But in order to keep the discussion healty, please keep the confirmation bias in mind. From my experience, gamers tend to be emotional so it's more likely to get tricked by it. Oh, before I forget it: I think it's very hard to either confirm or plausable deny these claims, without having a deep look into the code. Even if GGG would write a 10 thousand word text where they explain that they haven't done anything like this, there would still be people who would call them liars and still belive in this. And even a look in the code couldn't end this discussion because "who gurantees us that the code we've seen is the production code?" You say Prison Cell, I hear 'Holiday'.
