Zerker changes
If you don't mitigate the reflect like other posters mentioned I can't see how you could use this node, the last berserker I made would hit himself for 8k you'd need 80k armour to half that even with the bonus that is an extremely non-trivial value.

This is just a way to remove free mana leech early and a free CWDT trigger. The CWDT trigger might have some extremely niche use but it's going to be useless for 99% of Berserker specs. It will also be useful to buff your Molten Shell, but you can already easily get 15-20k armor on Berserker which is enough for a pretty big MS buffer.
Honestly, I loved Pain Reaver so much it sucks seeing it replaced, especially with this. This is something Juggernaut should've gotten, at least from a thematical stand point since this has nothing to do with the rest of Berserker lol. I'm already excited to spec Flawless Savagery on RT builds for that colossal flat phys buff.... thanks ggg! Would be interesting if Zerker has some funny way to interact with this gem.

I'm quite torn on this new passive.
The atk speed bonus on Pain Reaver was the main reason I took it and the easy access to life/mana leech helped in terms of planning out pathing and/or mods on gear. Given that you lose all your Ultimatum ante if you die this seems like such a bad idea for this league. As people have pointed out, it could be good if you heavily build around armour and phys/reflect mitigation. Maybe run Determination too somehow? Granite/Basalt flasks, idk. The interaction with Molten Shell seems appealing but I find with CWDT and having a lower MS gem it doesn't feel that great. Usually, I max lvl my MS and put it on left click/move but that also means it could not be up when you need it most. |

I have no idea why GGG rather wants Berserker scaling spell damage than fully support it scaling flat ele damage with its minor increased physical damage nodes but I guess I am done with it, now with pain reaver gone, next time I play strike melee flat ele builds it will be Raider or Inquisitor.

Any vets know by the wording if CWDT will trigger from Defy Pain's 10 stack reflect?

" It does. Reflect damage only comes from hits and is a hit itself. It is damage you take so interacts with cast when damage taken. Not to mention that reflect maps also trigger cwdt immortal call or molten shell while the player oneshots himself and since thats the same reflect damage category so I am pretty sure about this. Partnered with Petrified Blood perhaps, so the increased leech can help deal with the damage that's spread out over time?

Why even think about it all these conditions like get reflect immume, get armour on gear with precious prefixes, get hit 10 times to stay at 250% and make sure to not get hit 11 times.
All for 50% max leech? They treat it like it is instant leech or something. I think this skill misses the target by a long shot. |
