To be honest, I mean... why nerf it?

80% of players paly SC and doesnt care with fortify at all.

To us, HC players, its still a 3 passive tree investment and the annoying shit to hit enemies here and there with vigilant strike.

This nerf was totally not needed. It is basically a nerf to HC. if was not enough we had to deal with one shots everywheres...


Use a staff and overlord most OP notable in game survival wise. I think they missed it on patch notes.

it definitely was not a free fortify like every other way you can get fortify. especially any build which uses a melee weapon and a secondary skill

But it was a good def mechanic to us. And don't know why GGG bothered to nerf a HC mechanic gameplay... but right, lets see how good (or bad) is pretrified blood. Maybe I can still be tank enough :D

So let's continue with questions. We estabilished that I'm still going to play next league but now it's important to ask "how long". How long am i going to play next league?

And the answer is: I will play shorter than i would like to. With fractured fossil nerfs I see no reason to play SSF any longer. Getting ready to farm 100% delirium maps is already a very long journey and once you reached this point it's only a beginning. With access to scarabs / breachstones / delirium maps you can focus on farming different type of content to obtain specific unique items that you may need in creating other builds.

To make it simpler whole ssf journey looks like this:

You start with generic build that should do fine in maps ->
You change build you play using lucky items you found ->
You complete atlas while upgrading your gear ->
You farm side content (delve/temple/delirium etc.) while constantly upgrading your gear till you reach point when you can start farming maps with 100% delirium


As a result you gather many scarabs/breachstones/blighted maps. Now you can grind past league content for a reasonable chance to obtain uniques you want and create new builds that actually need specific uniques.



Well... back to trade league i guess. I will be done in less than 2 weeks but who cares.

I usually aim for two things in leagues:

1) 36 challenges.
2) Get a level 100

I play HC.

Some leagues like metamorph was really bad and I just skipped it.

Level 100 is not always a thing, because sometimes I get bored, or if I die at 97, 98.... not trying again.

Maybe it's silly, maybe its not, but this two "objectives" its what makes me fun in the game.

I don't care at all with 100% delirium maps, fractured mods or whatever some people are talking about here.
Harvest nerf was bad? Yes, because crafting some really good gear could be my 3) option in this list, but whatever. I play this game since 2014 with no deterministic craft. I can still enjoy it with no deterministic craft. Im afraid some D4 can easily pass poe popularity if they have a good crafy system, because I don't like the current "craft" system Chris wilson method (chaos spam, close your eyes exalts, alt/regal). But let's see. Maybe if this game starts die after D4 release GGG will bring back harvest at its current powerlevel.

The old way of crafing is just so boring, throw your item into the lottery and get whatever out of it. Harvest made it so you can actually get what you want in a reasonable time.

yes I agree.

Alt/regals and chaos spam isn't even a craft system. Its just gambling infinite combinations mods worse than a casino.

The "craft" thing is path of exile is really bad, really, really bad and nobody likes it.

I didn't liked harvest nerf, but since PoE still the top ARPG game out there I believe I have to deal with it, for now.

as I said, D4 can beat path of exile easily if they:

1) Fix trade. AH. Whatever
2) Real craft system.

alt+regals items its not craft. Chaos spam its not craft. Close your eyes and exalt some shit its not craft.

We actually have no craft system at all. Harvest was a craft system.

Agreed. Aisling veiling items looks like it's the new crafting endgame. Gonna be a pain in the butt because you can't even split bases anymore so if your unveil fails you're F'ed.
