I've got quite a few upgraded offerings of all types lying around that i never bothered to run because lab is annoying and not worth the effort. Might be worth running them now that there is at least some chance to get a useful enchant on the right helmet.
I wonder where the anti lab crusaders are? Because after all the time and effort they put in, you still HAVE to run the lab. All they did was try to make it more attractive.

don't get me wrong , This is a great change, but the lab is indeed eternal lol.
I think people are underestimating how good this change is - mostly underestimating the 'see before you commit' part. Even in SSF if you have one of each white base you want for str/dex/int and one unique helm of choice for str/dex/int this is nuts.

So lets say you have influenced whatever bases + a Baron, a Rime Gaze, a Starkonja's and an Abyssus, the fact that you'll never waste a zombie enchant on the wrong base, or an earthquake enchant on the wrong base is a mega huge buff. Especially when combined with 3 choices.

If you only want to play one build, I mean I think that's crazy in a game with this many skills. If you only want to play 5 builds the odds of you finding something you can use assuming you have your bases lined up seems pretty good in 5 runs, and really really good in 10 runs.

I'll wait and see on that. The announcement video might give one the impression you're guaranteed to get 3 helmet enchantments to pick from, but for all we know, those enchantments are all random. One run may have 2 helmet enchantments, another is only 1.
PoE players: Our game has a wide diversity of builds.

Also PoE players: The [league mechanic] doesn't need to be nerfed, you just need to play a [current meta] build!

And the winds will cry / and many men will die / and all the waves will bow down / to the Loreley
i presume there will be 3 helmet, 2 boot and 1 glove - that makes the most sense given count of different enchants

that is a plus, obviously

problem is.. we are going to reach ~1000 enchants next week

right now we have a 1/1000 gamble for something good, thus you just slam Crown of Inward Eye (as it can semi-optimally fit most builds)

after the change you might face:

- increased duration of Conversion Trap conversion
- 40% increased Heavy Strike damage
- slightly better cooldown on a skill noone uses

thus youll just walk away without using the shrine at all

(glove/boot enchant in most cases are either perfect matches or 'skips' - no need for ele pen on Impale build)

ofc, getting desired enchant is going to be ~3 times faster but it is still going to be a depression-inducing experience. and - most importantly - availability of off-meta enchants on off-meta helmets wont increase. thats kinda sad.


overall, this is a plus, a small one

Dont care about the enchants. Havent used them in years and dont need them now.

Being able to force trials though is huge! I love that one

I don't care about them either. Lab is just too annoying for me to grind anyways.
we'll see how this turns out. especially regarding the helm-enchants: now you got a chance of appr. 1/500. even if we get a 3/500 in the future, this won't change much
