Last Epoch will have a auction house. So it will probaly be better without muliple 3rd party apps.

The biggest issues with those Auction Houses are automated bots that buy and resell stuff as fast as the connection allows to. Which essentially means for a player looking for bargains that this player wont be fast enough to buyout first with manual clicks.
It happend in Diablo 3, WoW and pretty much any other Auction House where you can make arbitrage by these methods.
There are very good reasons PoE do not have an AH. So an AH does not speak positevly for LE in my opinion.

The PoE community lives in this bizarre bubble where no other games exist and/or are "trash" because they aren't PoE. Probably because between bans and frustratedly quitting, everyone but the dedicated die-hards eventually gets sieved out.

Yes, I think this is mostly the case. PoE is unique in its way and attracts people who like it that way (and others, but they don't last).
However, you do get people who play other arpgs, some of which are even bold enough to say so.

My only question is: how is this different to what is happening now? Right now bargains are instantly whispered by 50 players using "live search auto whisper "macros"". And chances are that they will buy the item before you even alt tab from your map to see what the live search pointed.
The only difference is that games with an ingame AH doesn't allow players or bots to live search 200 different items at the same time lol.

For whatever reason, the PoE defense force totally omits 90% of PoE problems. I cannot grasp it really.
PoE has tons of bots. I dont know what the number is without literally pulling a number out of my ass, but anecdotally, they are everywhere.
As for the rest of the thread, I can honestly say that PoE has the most 3rd party sites and overlays, that are nearly essential, for any game I have ever played.
I challenge anyone to play PoE well without using a trade indexer, poedb, poewiki, PoB, trade overlay, discord trading, and more. Its actually quite absurd.

Best thing about last epoch I found, no need for lolipop sticks to click multiple flasks at same time, just 1 key for life flask how games should be.

An auction house will prevent fake low ball pricing to lower price for trade flipping.
