Using craft of exile for the first time is pretty demotivating

...never mind GG items, I never had those and I don't need them to clear all content.
I just out of curiosity checked how much grind I can expect to craft my warlord belt base. I was aiming for 2xt3 (life+ele dmg) and t1 fire against burning. Nothing too crazy right? Two ilvl 60 mods, one 80, nothing else. If I did this right and assuming 90% confidence I am looking at: - 100 000 chaos orbs or - 1000 3-socket reasonators or - 4000+ alt+aug+regal? not sure if I did this correctly I genuienly wish I had not seen this. I was enjyoing myself up until this point, and right now it feels pointless to log in. There is no reality where I can grind this in a temp league, or even in standard before my character gets bricked by one of the updates. Even if I switched from SSF to trade league. And this is just for one item with t3 rolls. With all the discussion going around I think I finally understand how D3 ended up the way it did. And you still want damage multiplier over time, fire damage and curse on hit on same wand pushing it 9500000000000fossils on average. " I would never even attempt this - it has been said over and over again that GGG does not want items like this to actually exist in the game. And that's okay I guess - it's their game. " Nah - it's actually even more ridiculous than that. Something that is practically impossible to craft on my own costs less than an exalt on poe.trade. That's how big the disconnect is between trading and actually getting the items yourself. And I don't want to play trade leagues, because of that exact reason. Everything you do turns into currency/hour, every drop is measured in chaos and it all serves to just be converted to raw currency so you can buy your stuff. But I can not play minion/totem builds forever just so i never need more than tabula rasa. As you can imagine those few builds that work with crap/ssf gear are builds i already played too many times or simply do not interest me at all because how boring or slow (most of time boring and slow) they are. Try the Emulator, it is better than crafting in game xD
Gives streamers & friends queue priority and leaves supporters who spent hundreds $ packs in the 100k queue.

Look man, extreme crafting is for the elite in this game.
Everyone else needs to focus on getting to the next waypoint then clearing maps as much and fast as possible. If it causes you to stop for any reason, leave it. That is what its designed to do. Slow you down, causing you to play the game longer. The time you spend reading text, tabbing out, going over loot drops, you could have cleared a map and earned 2-3 chaos and just bought what you are looking for. You are playing an arcade game. |
