But yeah i wouldnt be surprised if GGG flagged popular streamer accounts for better chances for the sake of making the game more appealing/making the viewers actually play it.
What some of these people get SSF is absolutely disgusting lol. Despite putting in insane hours, they tend to get chase uniques very very early within the league compared to the general player. Feels like it sometimes at least.
knowledge, time and efficiency. you gotta appreciate the difference between going after items that are targetable or somewhat common drops, during very long hours, with very high efficiency, vs just randomly doing maps after work for a few hours

also it makes no sense to increase the drops for streamers in order to attract players. if more drops meant more players, why not just increase the drops?

Thing is i usually hit endgame earlier than most of the HCSSF streamers, simply because they play HCSSF and i play softcore trade and take a few days off when a league starts. If i didnt play trade i wouldnt have gotten a shavs this league for example, despite running T17 100% deli maps and what not.
The point is im not blaming anyone for not getting enough currency. I made enough and quit the league already, but many streamers get some of the key gear for builds very early all while playing SSF. This rules out the point of "just play more" if i dont get stuff like shavs 1 month into the league despite running some of the hardest/most profitable content available for more hours over the span of a league than anyone could have played in like the first week of a league in total.

Why it makes sense to attract players over streamers' content and not simply increase drops for everyone? Thats an easy one: stuff like this is currently common practice for tons of games. Increasing chase drops for everyone would devalue stuff even more though, thus leading to players quitting the league earlier than they already do.

Have you looked into QAnon? How about Flat-Eartherism? I hear the pyramids were made by aliens.

The more time you devote to these irrational ideas, the less mental space you allow for more productive endeavors.

Man that made me cringe. Always taking the easy way out in a discussion makes you look real stupid. I hope you know there is no real randomness and GGG is a company looking to make money. Considering how other games/some of PoE mechanics handle drops its not irrational to at least think and talk about the drop-system in your favourite game huh?
Dont know how you think thats even slightly comparable to stuff like flat earthers.

Im not saying there is necessarily stuff like streamer RNG, but after all none of us knows how drop chances are really handled in PoE and i wouldnt be surprised if there are some determined-drop mechanics. Even if it doesnt apply to only streamers.

It's a "Conspiracy Theory" - An easy explanation to a complicated issue (RNG can seem quite RANDOM lol) that is almost impossible to prove. It's best not to occupy your mind with these things, as they are IRRATIONAL and not worth thinking about.
What is the value of my own life when it is taken from others so easily?

Only kids care about age.

Go play outside and stop being jealous.

Why are people so concerned about what others have? All that should matter is 'Are you having fun?' Break the habit of looking at what others have because there will always be someone who has more than you, in this game and IRL. There is nothing wrong with wanting more, but to base it on what others have will make you an incredibly unhappy person.
Arguing on the Internet: What's the point when you can't punch them in the face when they really piss you off?

Ok, what you're obviously missing entirely is that these SSFHC players that get the items they need is because they target farm for them.

It's like all of these people complaining that they can't get a HH, and I'll quote Ziz who said this "well what are you doing to increase your chances of getting one to drop?".

Because if you're just blindly running map after map and hoping to get lucky drops, then you're only hurting yourself and have zero reason to complain.

Once I started targeting a HH, I had it within 5 hours. My very first one that I didn't buy. Not bragging at all, just pointing out how easy it is to get the things you want but you have to be willing to put in the effort.

Of other people's ability to purchase online currency. Why do you care about what people do with their disposable income if not for that?

Sorry. But I don't think this is the tinfoil hat discussion, I think people don't like the idea of them doing that but it wouldn't be the first time a reputable company did it. Blizzard nerfed all sorts of drops that were used to generate rmt income and exorbitant player income for the few non-rmters willing to grind for hippogryph feathers or whatever flavor of the week. It's business. There's no proof, but it's plausible and they haven't said anything to the contrary. If they didn't touch drop-rates after league start, it would make a lot of sense to post some brief thread to that effect.

They've said before that they can (and have) adjust(ed) drop rates during leagues before. Of course they adjust global drop rates from time to time. This debate/discussion on the other hand, isn't about global drop rates. It's about people actually believing that there are individual drop rates in PoE.

This is not about individual drop rates.
But why do you think its impossible to assign a seed range or something similar of better loot chances to streamers (aka game promoters)?
Think of it like timeless jewels: a seed range of 1000-2000 gives you higher loot chance for X or in general/whatever and game promoters get characters/have their account always placed within that range.
I mean if it meant more player revenue and an actual increase of player numbers id totally do it in GGGs place? What makes you think GGG is some higher form of ethical being that wouldnt do it lol?

This is purely anecdotal but i guess many of us experienced this: you go like a week without a single pure exalt drop then you drop like 3 in one hour.
This happens again and again. Do you really think thats just RNG?
The chances of not dropping an exalt for a week and then dropping 3 in a row all while running more or less the same content are so astronomically low that the chances that we have SOME sort of determined drop system running in the background outweigh it by a ton.
Not saying this is a bad thing but some of you guys really should question their point about GGG being some higher form of living that doesnt have any intentions for anything but providing you a great game lol

I was talking to someone about this the other day. Dropped 3 or 4 exalts in a couple hours after a couple days of nothing. Anecdotal as well, I've had the best luck at league start. The first few days of heists this league, I got the Farrul Fur cards x 2 and a nurse. I literally never got anything past mostly void cards and 1 or 2 of the omeceyan (sp?) after that first week or so. I was kind of half-joking hypothesizing to a friend that they were increasing exalt drops because of the inflation, when all the omg sparkles harvest stuff hit the market...

You make it sound as if there was a certain loot battery that you deplete by playing and boy you couldn't be more wrong about it, lol.
