Blizzard has had its fair share of security problems as well, not to mention Tencent also owns a very small portion of Blizzard. Not to mention NetEase has had its complications in the past and are partnered with Blizzard.

See, I never said Blizzard is the "good guys". I just point out the double standard & lack of self-awareness of PoE "passionate fans" when they act GGG isn't another greedy game company.

Hello all the nice and not so nice members of this forum.
This is my very 1st post and I expect it to be the last (just want to mention something).

I was a little boy, when D2 was coming and I played it more time I want to sum up. Of course, I played D1 before, which was ok, but LAN was horrible. So we get to the 2nd part. Overall nice game with no clearly defined endgame other than grinding on better equipment.

Same as D3.

Then I played PoE. It's okay. Sometimes a bit to much for my preference for just playing it a while. For non active casual gamers I don't think the new content is doing it's magic.

If I would choose, which game I would play, it would be D2.
- I could play a while, then let a year fade and it would be still the same.

And yeah, I still play D2. And love it how it is. Even with the old core.

The people who think there is going to be new content are definitely reading too much into it though. Even if it were true (it's not), I would honestly ask if they truly want the current Blizzard to add new content. Look at what they did to the Diablo franchise. D3 is fun as an arcade game for a few hours, but in the context of the successor to D2....it's awful. There are very few games that I went back to play from childhood that I regret. The nostalgia ride alone was worth it and some of them I didn't beat so it was nice to put them to bed.

One glaring exception to that was Might and Magic I. The game was just too slow and clunky to get beyond. So that will go down in the books as a game I never beat.

I really dont care if people like it or not but some (most) are acting like its second comming of Jesus and how much better it is then anything we have ever seen. Like come on, D2 is shallow, clunky and lacks content. New paint wont fix that.

We get it. You don't like D2 and that's fine.

However, a lot of people like it to this day and still play it. That is a fact, be you like it or not.

While I'm huge on the mod support considering the VAST amount people have been able to add to D2 already with PoD / PD / MXL ect, I'm hoping they go further with letting modders in. Hell we'll already be separated offline / online so there's no reason not to.

And the only thing that has be nervous is that it's Blizzard. Yes VV is doing the remaster, thank god, and considering we have them saying all this will be in, I *think we're safe*, but man, I just KNOW Blizzard wants to screw with it somehow. It's just in their blood.

I watched David Brevik on his wife's twitch channel where he talked about D2 and which features where not really needed.

Maybe this point is also on the checklist of D2R. If not, mods will solve it sooner or later.

No. Blizzard. Sorry, but you are no more. Blizzard might as well hang in their jacket to dry, close their drawer, slam shut that door, close up and just throw the key.
When people realise this, Blizzard will lose Players in the 10s upon thousands and thousands upon thousands. Just too bad people won´t realise fcts until a very long time after, anyways.
I won´t be using a dime on Blizzard ever again. Doesn´t aatter what it is.

Anyway, please let me know when Blizzard is actually making a NEW game. And with new I mean NEW. Not a Blizzard game with Azeroth in it. Or Diablo, or Warcraft, or War, or Overwatch or whatever in it. I want to see and hear about something truly NEW, that Blizzard is working on, which no one ever heard of before regarding Blizzard. By the time that happens, people grown 20 years older, and only the hardcore fans is still playing and swearing by the gods that Warcraft is STILL the best.

And who the F are you people who even bothered to pay up in the amount of $20 for 30 year old games that I used to play on Super Nintendo. I mean, WTF are you even thinking about??!!?? And that is the best Blizzard could come up with for a 30th Anniversary? WTF?!?
