Just play one of the 10-20 gladiator builds and faceroll all content without much player skill required.
You will notice a trend with people with nothing better to do/no life that tell you to get good, the majority are playing what is OP and easy or follow what is meta. IMO 90% of this game is the build you play, the rest is player skill. If you make your own builds look what all the high level hardcore players are doing and see how they build their characters to get an idea. A lot of people that play on softcore will go full on offence to kill stuff as fast as possible. They won't care if they die every now and then from random spikes or errors. You really need multiple layers of defence in the current state of the game, you can't just get 6k life with no second layer and expect to survive everything. For instance you get people with 5-6k life bow builds that complain when they die because they are too lazy to run vigilant strike + the vigil to help maximize their defensive layers. EDIT: I had a look at your characters, you should try to pay more attention to things like flask mods and the little details if you are following a build guide as there is plenty of improvements can be made to make you more defensive. Congratulation you just got baited (they got me twice too lol). Somehow their build always on the top of Google search :( I only play this game about a year but this my tips for other Newbie. Don't trust 90% "Build Showcase" in Youtube. (I'm not saying All are "bad" but proly only 10% actually "good" for Newbie) Don't be easy to get baited by "Banger music", "Cheap build", "Tanky", "High DPS" ect. Why:

2. Some video cheating on PoB showcase. (That's why I really respect Youtuber and Streamer who transparent on their build) 3. Most newbie probably won't achieve that gears in just a month or maybe even 2 How to chose build:

1. Look at build which has PoB link directly, so you can easily follow them.
2. Make sure the PoB isn't cheated. 3. Chose a build that simple to understand. 4. Make sure can achieve recommended gear in the build less then a month. 5. Build with Sirus showcase is better so you can see if can do the same thing as them when you do it (Some build can tank "Sirus's Die beam & meteor or Shaper's ball"). 6. Watch different people stream will help you to pick a build that suit you. How to do Endgame for Newbie:

1. If you aren't good at doing mechanic like me get 1m+ Sirus DPS on PoB (not cheated). So you can basically burn the boss down in few sec w/o doing much of the mechanic lol. Doesn't matter which build you pick. 2. Watch fight explanation thoroughly not just doing it half hearted. (understand once in your lifetime and you can do it forever) 3. Tankier build like aura stacker can tank many of the mechanic but will cost you more (less death = more time to do stuff). 4. Less variation on your build push more DPS instead and some EHP. EHP Isn't just Energy shield + Health/Hit Point you can check your "Real" EHP in PoB for each dmg (Physical, Fire, Cold, Lighting and Chaos) It can be 13k-inf Last: T16 maps clear =/= boss fight stop got baited by "This build can do T16 maps easily" most build even memes build can do T16 easily, but Bosses has a mechanic that you need to follow or you'll die (unless you can tank it). The OP is simply deluded. He states that he knows how to play but also that flasks don't matter. There were a bunch of helpful comments, it is up to him to heed them.

" He doesnt though and thats the main issue. Im hanging out in the gameplay & help section quite a bit, trying to help struggling players and he´s been a frequent guest there for years now. Doesnt matter which build he is playing or what you recommend he should be doing, he´s failing over and over in endgame. Which wouldnt be an issue, if he would listen to more experienced players, but he doesnt and resorts to blaming the game instead. Im not quite sure why he does it but thats irrelevant. I stopped trying to help him leagues ago. He wont listen anyways, so unfortunately its a waste of time and Id rather play or help someone willing to listen and learn. |
