To get an exponential growth model, you have to use the currency you have to make more currency... also called "flipping". You buy stuff people are selling for 1 ex and sell it for 2 ex... doubling your investment.
I don't flip and I don't craft. I just "play the game" and sell drops.
I pull 300-500ex every league.
I might need to flip and such if I wish to make multiple mirrors but it's not necessary to make a gg build.
I don't flip and I don't craft. I just "play the game" and sell drops.
I pull 6-10ex every league.
obviously how you play the game and how i, and probably a lot of other people, play the game are very different.
i wish i had an alt shard for every time somebody pipes up with how they "just play the game" and make 100s of exalts each league.
It is kind of hard to believe anyone can haul a couple of hundred exalts WITHOUT flipping and crafting. Oldschool Shavronne, Kaom's Heart, Voll's devotion, Skyforth ... only net you a handful of chaos these days. And since hardly anyone picks up rare items, it must all have come from headhunters. But who gets multiple headhunters in the same temp league?

Enjoyable video, i hope people learn that chaos recipe isn't the holy grail anymore for a long time now.
Flipping works from act 1 town, starting budget would be some alterations, try it out next league if you want. Farm alterations, craft +1 wands.
What does flipping have to do with crafting ?
Flipping is buying and selling, which requires currency...
What you describe is crafting to sell....
Best method is to combine both. You buy something to craft it and then sell it.
(buying very cheap item, adding one bench mod, selling item for 5 times more)
