Empyrian has shown multiple times that you can get decent amount of currency even farming blood aqueducts (white maps are even better). With no MF, no zoom zoom character, just regualr build that has decent clearspeed you can regularlurly farm 100c/h in just white maps, not counting any rare drops like exalts.

Lies, everyone knows the best way to get rich is AFKing in your hideout while moaning on the forums about how everything is too expensive.

Know what to flip and when to flip it.

Flipping definitely works, but it definitely takes a substantial starting budget in order to get started. And I can't exactly argue that it's the most enjoyable way to make currency.

just look at flipping as an extra income on top of playing.
have somme high value assets, and each whisper you leave the map for can spell many Ex drops.
i can assure you that it is super enjoyable to get some extra funds to work with every once in a while. how much time you want to dedicate to flipping is a whole other story but once you have a good amount of Orbs, you better invest in either your build or some flipping assets. plus points if you hit two birds with one stone
Flipping does not take a lot of income. People who don't know shit sell things cheap especially rares. I got a 15ex shield once for 5c back in the day.

Anyway bottom line is is currency does no good in stash. It's like burying cash in your backyard... does nothing.. Sell everything you can and buy things you think will go up

This sounds like the hardest way, bruh...
The alteration recipe is indeed undervalued but yeah it takes time to do it. For lazy people (not like myself) it is not an option. And it is a good thing most people are lazy or otherwise the values of alteration orbs would tank.

That is some legit advice. I would keep some liquidity in your bank, but the rest you can better invest into legacy items that go up. That is a much better strategy if you want to get 'richer' in the end than mere mapping or having luck in drops. Currently I am pouring standard currency into relics. Especiall relics that could be obtained from Timeworn Reliquary Keys in Delve league. For most of them there are around 50 (yes, only 50, similar to alt arts) of them listed on poe trade. You can still get them quite cheap now but that train will leave sooner or later.

A good example is Karcaroth, one of the richest or maybe THE richest player who bought much legacy stuff for his own collection in the past and can now sell his doubles for a lot of currency. And that currency will be used to invest in other stuff.

Tell that to the RMT pvpers whose seeming purpose in life is to be better than you at a video game.
What is the value of my own life when it is taken from others so easily?
Having a team helps a lot. Someone who enjoys trading while the others go out and play. Others who like to snipe the market for items on the cheap from people who don't care about getting top dollar. A team of 5-10 can make far more than 5-10 times what an individual can make.
currency needs to be account bound. 100%

Something else would become currency then. If there's trade, there's going to be a currency.

that is totally fine. D2 trade thrived on the soj, let path of traders enjoy hoarding say, kikazoru rings
