To get an exponential growth model, you have to use the currency you have to make more currency... also called "flipping". You buy stuff people are selling for 1 ex and sell it for 2 ex... doubling your investment.

I don't flip and I don't craft. I just "play the game" and sell drops.

I pull 300-500ex every league.

I might need to flip and such if I wish to make multiple mirrors but it's not necessary to make a gg build.
Very nice video. It's a simple concept, but it took me five leagues to grasp. In the previous leagues I was always relying on raw exalt drops or valuable drops in general, like target farming Doctor cards, and was wondering how are people actually making 50-70c/h.

My problem was that I was too greedy to sell the smaller currencies like Alts, Jewwelers, Fusings, Chromes (and still ended not using them) and the disbelief that you can actually make any serious profit from these small currencies.

But this League I started using profit tracker Exilence net, and saw that actually this small stuff makes shitton of chaos. All it takes is just dump everything on someone via bulk trade. For example, Alts often sell 5 for 1 chaos, so you can pick full inventory of rares at the map boss, id them and vendor for Alt Shards. Very basic way to make some chaos for starting gear and imho much simpler and faster than doing the chaos recipe.
Something I do at league start is buy exalts anytime I have enough c to afford one. They tend to rise in price as the league progresses ignoring the crash that happened in heist.

If I need to buy something in c and I don't have it I never break an exalt, I always just farm a few more c via delving or whatever easy method I know. It's a good way to get more mileage out of your chaos.
Before Heist league it was very easy to make currency by flipping gems - some 20lvl gems cost like 7c while same game 20% quality cost 20c+. Unfortunately Heist introduced alternate quality.
Do high tier content and crafting that others are too scrub to do.
I had 3 mirrors 2 weeks into Heist and I missed the first days.
Uploaded an awesome Exsanguinate Freeze Explosion build on the forums - https://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/3508506
A lot of it is also knowing how to spend wisely. It doesn't make a difference if you make 10EX in the first week when you end up spending it on something you could have gotten for much cheaper. Most of the new players I run into end up paying a ton for gear that would normally be very cheap if they didn't look for 100% perfect roll's or stats. If your a newbie you don't know what stats are required when following a guide nor should you be expected to. Those lil extra stats can increase an items value by a hundredfold sometimes.
Knowledge is power (and money) in PoE. Its very common to see item for, lets say 2 ex with certain mods, while same item, but wihtout one mod (that can be added with crafting bench) and empty suffix/preffix can cost 50c.
If you have knowledge, patience and a lot of free time you can make insane money by just buying items, adding one mod with crafting bench and reselling it for way more.

Enjoyable video, i hope people learn that chaos recipe isn't the holy grail anymore for a long time now.

Flipping works from act 1 town, starting budget would be some alterations, try it out next league if you want. Farm alterations, craft +1 wands.

What does flipping have to do with crafting ?

Flipping is buying and selling, which requires currency...

What you describe is crafting to sell....

I pull 6-10ex every league.

obviously how you play the game and how i, and probably a lot of other people, play the game are very different.

i wish i had an alt shard for every time somebody pipes up with how they "just play the game" and make 100s of exalts each league.

It was as answer to that: Flipping definitely works, but it definitely takes a substantial starting budget in order to get started.

It was a way show people what they can do to get currency if they don't want to do the typical leveling/endgame stuff. Another one would be flipping portal/wisdom scrolls for purists.
