Ok cyberpunk is not that good, so can we launch the next league?

what is the point of this thread again? do you really want them to instantly launch the next league tomorrow?

Considering the possibilities of this Idea, the topic is pretty pointless.

I played an hour this morning and it felt like Fallout with better cinematic cut scenes.

I'll continue with it, but I don't see it as earthshaking, nor as competition for my PoE playtime. In an hour of playing Cyberpunk 2077 I haven't even seen my inventory yet, nor have I acquired any form of loot. Compare that to your first hour of playing PoE.

I'm hoping it's a great story through cinematics, but Star Wars The Old Republic did (and still does) a better job of that in the first hour of play.

I'm hoping to feel the Cyperpunk Pen&Paper min-max satisfaction of choosing skills but didn't experience it in hour one.

Remember how many skill picks you made in your first hour of PoE? I made NO skill or attribute picks in hour one of Cyberpunk 2077, besides alloting 7 points of attributes at character creation.

I'm not saying it's a bad game, just that my first hour of PoE was way more captivating than my first hour of Cyberpunk 2077.

Because Cyberpunk 2077 is more narrative focused than gameplay mechanics. If you came in expecting to roll dice and shit, it's really on you because the marketing has been pretty clear it's more of a cinematic showcase.

The ads I've seen did not convey this at all.

Cdrp knew it wouldn’t live up to the hype because they had to employ a Hollywood star as their mascot. Too bad, would have liked to see Cp succeed. As it is, another one bites the dust....

I mean I'm only a couple hours in but it's an absolute blast right now, bugs and all. And the 1 million concurrent steam users / 1 million twitch views already means it's done very well.

I'd love to know what you mean by 'bites the dust' in this context.

I read it as "it doesn't live up to my expectations so it's a failure".

Variation on the old, "I don't play this game anymore so it's dead" attitude.

Good on you for playing and enjoying it. What else matters, really?
