It needs to be checked.
I plan to try it after the update and update the post with this info.
Damage from his beam is always random, so now with twice less armour it's difficult to predict that.

What do u mean by spell damage?
Damage mitigation don't consider spell or attack damage.
We just have 3 main sources of damage: phys, ele and chaos.

There are 3 mistakes in your approach here:
1) You shouldn't take it as a league starter, beacause it's difficult to achieve all the gear at the first week of the league
2) You shouldn't take chaos innoculation until you have all your gear ready
You need to level with life version and the respec.
3) This skill tree works only when you have your combination of transcendence keystone, divergent determination buff(determination for early stage) and replica dreamfeathers.
