What (no 1hp) builds can run delve 800-1000 smoothly and kill AULs with bad mods
" 83 mob lvl (according to) https://pathofexile.gamepedia.com/Delve applies til the 231 depth. After that, mobs have 1% more dmg per ~3 depths and 1% more health ~ per 2 depth. So on 600 depth mobs have 104% more dmg and 208% more hp, later they get even more (not much more, but it's enough if u multiply it by 1000 depths...). So (for example) my Vortex Occulits on the ~1150 got challenged by mobs with 401 more dmg and 801 more hp. Add to it 30% more dmg mod and u're done. That was the moment in delve when game told me: "time for 1hp build". Anyway Vortex Occulist is another story - there's more crowd control things like temporal chains etc. So it's much easier to reach deeper nodes (not even mention dot, which is much safer playstyle). |

I hit the 2.3k mark with a life based build (no 1hp) before it was clear 1 hp or aura stacker is required to reliably delve deeper.
Some reference Aul 1219: https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=8qqC5-AE8nk T3 Azzrite at depth 2277 in 3.12: https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=ER-3Ndv3G1I |

Nice, I saw it's 3.7 so probably Legion league. Looks like u had a tons of dmg with Molten Strike and used self cast immortal call. In the end u used some vaal skill, which one?
Btw what reserves almost all your mana? I see herald of purity and blood and sand (25% + 10%, in azurite vid). What else? Btw is 1200 AUL with almost no mods still simplier than mine with AOE, pen and turbo & onslaught? |

The Aul one is old but not much changed since then regarding the encounter or my build except that i have a lot more damage thanks to Cluster Jewels.
The Aura Reservation in the video from 3.12 is from Purity of Ice,Fire and Lightning. I cant judge the difficulty between those mods as i have no exact same Aul in the exact depth with your mods but from what i can tell the only real damage mod is penetration which will cause more damage in a single hit. I think an Aul 600 levels deeper without mods will deal a lot more damage than yours and will also have more life. Last edited by zzang#1847 on Nov 19, 2020, 6:56:16 AM
