Feeling like I am the worst Evil who has ever existed in the whole Wraeclast while playing Heist..

I don't get it.
Do you really think that because you kill bad guys during the storyline you are a good guy?
Exiles are bad guys, who kill other bad guys.

It was obvious with old intros, I do not know why they removed them in FoO, and retconned exiles past.
"War's over, soldier. You just don't know it yet. Everybody lost."
Why do people always go bananas about morality in any pixelated game.

I get the lore and immersion stuff like that but , just take it with a grain of salt, or else you'll lose your sanity much like Sirus did and get lost in the "Atlas" of the game.
Never invite Vorana, Last To Fall at a beer party.
You are an escaped convict, its in your nature to steal

This is a much better argument.

Still quite weird argument.
It's like coming to the bank with lethal weapons and expecting security/police to do nothing while robbing it.
Should the guards just let the thieves to steal everything they want, as long as they don't attack?

No, you all miss the main reason. This league is about the cat.

Only the:
Cats's live is matter!

#poe2020

Spoiler
..the rest are just loose 10% of exp, and loot

You're right, that's reason to kill Vox twins.
I don't think the other guards were cat killers. They just guard the artifacts.

Stealing from the rich is not evil.

Well that's really something. What else are we allowed to do to the rich that we can't do to paupers that suddenly becomes moral only because of their bank account?
What do you mean what else? Why would there be more? I said what I said; if I wanted to add other things to the list, I would have.

My point wasn't at all about "expecting" any particular outcome, or declaring what anyone "should" do. It was just pointing out that all parties involved have agency (within the fiction). They don't have to attack with intent to kill, they choose to.

(Although to address the real life analogy: I would absolutely hope that bank security are not murdering people. There are more options available than "kill" and "do nothing", and life is more important than property).
Have you guys heard the voice lines of the mobs in Heist? Especially the unique ones? We're not talking about Mother Theresa here.

Edit:

Harvest: You grew flowers, releasing innocent creatures, just so you could kill them to make yourself stronger.

Bestiary: Capturing and killing innocent beasts just for their loot, and to make youself stronger.

Incursion: Going back in time, killing inncent architects for their loot. Hell, you're even responsible for the death of their wonderful invention; Automatic doors.

Delve: Forcing yourself into a mine, killing everything in your path for their loot.

You're not a hero.

Bring me some coffee and I'll bring you a smile.

ITT coincidental hero realises 'I only do it for the reward' is not necessarily heroic.

Hypothetical question for you, OP:

Say they added two quests to the game. You can only choose one of the following:

1) rescue some children from a bandit lord. Quest takes around an hour, involves a lot of back and forth to investigate their location, how to infiltrate the bandit lord's lair without accidentally killing the kids. The bandit lord is very poor, as are the parents of the children. Reward: 1 chaos orb.

2) kill some rabbits that have been terrorising a farmer's fields. Quest takes about a minute. The farmer works for a bandit lord who is very rich. Reward: 10 exalted orbs.

Which would you choose?

Be honest now and tell me just how heroic you really are, even in a game where it's pretty much ALL about doing shit for shady people whose enemies just happen to be far shadier.

It depends on how far the value of exalted orbs drop :)
Thanks for all the fish!

Heh, in that case, merely reverse the rewards. Point remains...
If I like a game, it'll either be amazing later or awful forever. There's no in-between.

I am Path of Exile's biggest whale. Period.

Pretend you are Robin Hood and give away all your loot to less fortunate exiles.
