Feeling like I am the worst Evil who has ever existed in the whole Wraeclast while playing Heist..

In the beginning, I used to be a hero who saved the world from an evil god. I was killing undead, demons, bandits to save humanity and restore justice...
But then, for some unknown reasons, I have joined a Thief guild. Now I am THIEVING what does not belongs to me in any way. I am KILLING hundreds, thousands of soldiers, who just do their duty, earn a living to feed their families, who unlucky were sent today to defend some 800 marker idol's head which is a family relic and belongs to their governor. Especially when they scream "HOOOLD!" trying to defend desperately that doorway, but they know already they are doomed and will die in just a few seconds, because who can stand against such an unstoppable force? How do you feel at that moment? Personally, I feel like I am the worst villain in the world. Kitava comparing to me is just a fluffy rabbit. This world has not seen anything worse and more terrible. PoE is now a true villain simulator. PoE nowadays looks more and more like a fan-made fork server with tons of custom weird experimental stuff rather than original game with carefully thought out balance brough live to players. Whenever I go on a contract I feel I'm the greadiest evilest bastard that ever were born in Wraeclast, and I'm too powerfull to be stopped.

Why are you cherry picking only the high points to compare to?
You washed up on the shores of Wraeclast as scum. Scum so foul that an entire country didn't want you, and shipped you on a one way ticket to a place befitting of your ignobility. As always you do what you must to survive. If you feel like you don't need to kill 'innocent' guards for a dusty lamp then don't. Roleplay with a savior complex and delude yourself into thinking you're the 'hero' who is good and pure all the time. |
