Introduce something like trade-ban

Incorrect, I'd likely ignore you for wasting my time and move on to someone else. Also, international users may have zero clue what you're on about and do the same.

Pointless reports like that will end up getting your report functionality removed in-game. Just sayin...

They are not pointless. Bots account are pretty botable by always having 2-3 challanges and meaningless character set instead of nickname. And unreacting for a nearly instant reply on a trade request is obviously a bot behaviour.

Edit: use the ignore function on the official trade site. Eventually it gets to the point where you get instant responses almost all the time. *shrugs*

In theory - yes, in practice - there are way too many invalid offers on trade.
We onl can solve this problem (at least part of it) together. Come on when 1c trades become useless for you just remove 1c tab from public - it's one checkbox and many peoples will not wait. And you will also wait more if we all do this.
You know what would *actually* be useful? The ability to set autoreplies for various areas:

if area="Whatever the delve area name is":
/autoreply "In Delve. Ping me if you're willing to wait."

GGG has built a game where split-second responses are required, and there's no easy way to leave some areas, but also built a trade system that requires chat functionality. If I'm fighting a boss, or delving, or escaping a heist, there's no real ability for me to respond. (Delirium and blight actually work OK, as it pauses when I portal out, but even that only works solo.)

/dnd is inappropriate for delving and the like, because it keeps you from getting the messages at all. /autoreply is inappropriate, because it drops every time you switch areas, so it needs to be constantly reapplied.

(I mean, it would be even better if there were opportunities to "pause" content so you could trade, or respond to the doorbell, or what not, but I don't expect GGG to do that.)

They're not breaking any rules, you're just wasting supports time with pointless reports. *shrugs*
Just a lowly standard player. May RNGesus be with you.

That's very good idea, you are right.

But it will not solve a problem of "oh, 2c trade at 2nd week of a league? I'll just ignore it, but keep item in public tab cause I'm lazy and don't care"
The major part of low-value trades problem comes when you start a league after a month - it's literaly impossible to get leveling or mapping-start uniques, because no one cares about one alchemy or even alchemy chaos orb!

And the only way to solve this problem is when people will be motivated to remove invalid trades.
There isn't a rule that you have to trade anything you have listed.

Anyway, this will never happen, just like AH or cross-instance trading.
Can't trade or use a portal while doing the following:

Delve, Lab, lab trials in maps, Heists?, Simulacrum in maps, Alva missions in maps, breach encounters, Blight encounters, Legion, Shaper, Elder, Uber Elder, Sirus, conqueror guardians in their arena, playing in a group, and probably more that I'm forgetting.

Anyway do a followup /whois command on the person you whispered. Might see them in an Abyss boss fight (can't portal out either) or something. Trade banning someone because they're preoccupied by playing the game is rather silly.

Players share some responsibility, though. Too many listings for too low a price to bother with. Should instead set a higher minimum b/o for when you'll portal out. Turn on that ~b/o 3 chaos tab when you're done or just sitting in hideout doing nothing/working/playing another game.

2. You are literally breaking TOS by doing what you are doing, you know there are penalties for the exact thing you are doing.

I'm not breaking ToS by reporting, that it seems like someone IS breaking it by using 3rd party software

Glad out of my massive and thought out post you chose the two points you could regurgitate your tired broken record 'there are bots, don't you know!' and 'people should serve me!' routine. All while piling some slander on top of it. Enjoy the report loser. You really deserve all the ridicule here.

Leaving bots problem, there is another very big problem - people, who say they will sell an item, but they aren't gouing to sell it at all from the moment they listed it! So you need to message 10-20 people for anyone to reply.
Then you go and copy-pasting buy messages in a stream just tab-copy-tab-paste-enter.
At one moment real traders see it and you get 5 invites. Of course you ignore 4 of them and seller thinks - what the fuck just was?

What I suggest - introduce a trade-ban:
* in a trade-ban all your public tabs behaves like they are private, they are
not listed in trade or api.
* in a trade-ban you cannot trade with anyone, you have not trade button, anyone who tries to trade with you get "player is trade-banned" message

Conditions for trade-ban:
* when you ignore some trade messages in a row for example 10
* messages in dnd or afk mod does not count
* it stays for a week or so.

So people will not place that they are selling 1c item anymore, because they don't want to get a trade-ban and lose ability to sell their 20-30c items for a week.

Downside here is a bots promlem, as they can just overspam anyone.

This idea is terrible, for the exact reason you yourself pointed out. If I list a Sundance right now in Heist, I am guaranteed to be messaged by literally dozens of bots within the first minute, and in some cases this league the bots have continued messaging me long after the item in question was sold. Per your idea, I would be unable to sell ANYTHING for a week, even though I did literally nothing wrong?

Garbage suggestion.
