Makes sense, I'm looking at a slayer version as well and wasn't sure how the leech would feel without Vitality Void. Seems like you're capped at about ~1k HP a second which isn't a lot compared to double that of a slayer.

Was afraid of that, that's why I was thinking about Ambush/Assassinate but that seems limited to high/low life as well.

Recorded video on T16 map with Unleash variant if anyone is interested. I'm using AIAoE on this map so swapping to CE on end game bosses still increases dmg substantially.

How do you get 13 power charges? Since you get 3 from the tree, 1 from ascendancy, 2 from void battery and 2 from rings for a total of 11?
Where did you read 13 PCs? In my guide it says 12 PCs, 3 by default + 3 from tree + 1 from ascendancy + 2 from void batteries + 2 from both rings + 1 from helmet = 12
Hey, really nice work! Impressive dmg output. Tried Elementalist (with heralds) and crit Inquisitor both with Light of Lunaris and glancing blows for 75% block and 75% crit multi at the same time but overall dmg was far less than dual Void Batteries with Shadow and survivability not really any better if not worse.

I slightly reworked this build for a ranged Discharge with Astral Projector and it is lots of fun.

And yes those are legacy gloves (borrowed from a friend just to test) and they make you immortal;)

Im using Volls chest to fuel up Discharge at range (outside of Blade Vortex area of effect) so Im loosing about 1k EHP but dmg is well worth it, also it enables yet another jewel slots.


According to my PoB (https://pastebin.com/kmH5HVUJ) I can reach up to 8.2 mil dmg per Discharge vs Shaper and I believe this is by far the most dmg I ever had with any build in this game.

Acrobatics and Phase Acrobatics works really well with Elusive for up to 58/48% dodge/spell dodge chance.

Congrats @RicoKGB, glad you like it and tested it with different classes.

Of course I evaluated astral projector approach as well weeks ago, as a matter of fact when I was theorycrafting build, before I even staarted leveling my character ;) However, It just didn't fit the blade vortex apporach, where you need to stand nearby the enemies to generate charges as well as apply EE. Frozen Shiled on top of it is also more nearby than range approach, so all of that add up to be in close combat rather than range. There are other drawbacks like losing PC, life and other stats when you give up that rare ring, as well as less area of effect debuff from astral.

Having that said if you really would like to go range approach with astral, I think the best idea would be giving up on BV, EE and go with storm brand instead. You will lose a lot of dmg because of losing EE, please bear that in mind, but you will be pure range!

During my initial testing with Astral Projector for packs EE really doesnt matter as dmg is allready enough to one shot everything also Volls chest seems to be enough to sustain max power charges from pack to pack. Doedre flask can be used to kick off the chain reaction and maybe some cwdt setup to support it.

As far as EE goes for bosses theres an old trick from SRS builds that can be used here I think - totem casting cold dmg spell. Dunno how practical it will be thou. Vortex being a nova spell is another solution but it will only trigger EE for its initial cast and not for its DoT part I think.

Best would be to go Inqusitor but so far I was able to reach only 4mil dmg per Discharge with single battery and Light of Lunaris.

However PC gen on single target without BV setup is bad. This I believe is the most difficult problem to solve.

Anyway ty for your input on the matter, theres just something addicting to a range version of this build with Asrtal Projector where you point and click and everything dies in that sector of the map;)

This build is great. Im having a blast literally lol. Thanks for making this guide.

What I wonder is if I get the crit multi per power charge at the top instead of Throatseeker does it work with discharge? Does the crit multi per power charge apply to the discharge or do I essentially loose the multi when I discharge the charges.
Why not throw in Badge of the Brotherhood for frenzies? And maybe switch to Replica Farruls for Endurance generation? Would probably double the damage without loosing much?
