" Even if you don't fall for the scam, you still waist alot of time dealing with the scamers |

Oof.
The replies in here weren't unexpected, but still just as awful. Imagine laughing about, and damn-near supporting incoming scams because... I dunno, some inner desire to see bad things happen to people. [Removed by Support] I imagine if you're trading FOR the replica, you're then aware of the original version, and will make sure to be sure. But that's basically only 33% of the options here. 2) You're trading for the original and don't know about the replica. 3) You're trading for the original and do know about the replica. #2 players are toast, if the other player wishes. Yes, it's easy to say dumb shit like, "Lol shoulda learned how to read." But saying things like that just means you need to tattoo "fuckass" onto your forehead, because that's not an Ok response to someone being hard-punished for not living exactly the way you do. OVERALL, I imagine there are easy things for GGG to do. The easiest might be some noticeable message, maybe unavoidable popup, that says something like... "WARNING: REPLICA/NON-REPLICA". Or, put a noticeable "affix" text on the item, as well as maybe some tweak to the artwork like a "badge" somewhere. Alternatively, I can see them doing nothing, so as to further support their forced mantra of having a chaotic, cutthroat, unfun environment, where only the strong go onward in... this... ... video game. |

" Quoting you, although I could quote anyone at all: There is a 100% chance you could be completely scammed in a real life scenario that utterly destroys said life. You aren't so clever that you're impervious to it. You aren't as amazing as you think you are. But I feel like, if it happened to you, you'd suddenly not accept that your seeking of help or a fix is "being spoiled," or any other utterly ridiculous, dismissive title. Telling people "you shoulda read the item" is basically like telling people who got hit by a drunk that they "shouldn't have gone out driving on a Friday night". (Sound like a stupid comparison? Well that's because both things are stupid - thus it's a perfect comparison.) |

Could GGG 'improve' the current trade window from 'idiot proof' (current state) to 'bullet proof'? Sure. Should they? Maybe. Will they? No, at least not until PoE 2, I would think. So what can we do? Use our eyes, be aware and don't scam.
Bring me some coffee and I'll bring you a smile.

" In a game where devs specifically forbid the use of bots for farming and trading yet botters thirve; and where scamming is frowned upon(LOL) but scammers never get punished you find it awful that people adapt and embrace ggg's vision? ggg doesn't give a fuck about botters or scammers. They don't give a flying dildo about "the victims". All they care about is money. Same as botters and scammers. So why do you find it awful that a part of the player base emulates to the point of mirroring ggg's attitudes towards Wraeclast and exiles? |

" Wtf? No it's a stupid comparison Man, you just gotta READ what's in the trade window How you can possibly defend idiots for not reading? Just read, lol, it's not that hard Better comparison would be this : A scummy bank is giving you money for like 10 years, you need to READ AND SIGN these papers... and you just signed them without reading After, you scream apeshit that you got scammed, yet you oculd've avoided it by simply READING ok? Nobody is pushing you to close the trade window 0.1 sec after the item is placed there Come on man, i know it's 2020 and everyone is a entitled tolerant snowflake, but don't be like the mass, ok? |
