where are all free gears?

IMHO you're asking to skip the journey which is a big part of the game. The people that are not giving you free things are doing you a favor.

I've seen giveaways in PoE before. Often times through global chat memes like guessing Facebreaker more% damage, quiz games, or just listing a bunch of items and telling people they can have them.

If there's fewer giveaways, actually, it'd be because Harvest lets you craft items you wouldn't want to give away and even the worst items made with it are going to be better than most of what is sitting in your Standard stash. You would mostly just be seeing people trying to give away uniques that don't sell for more than an alch and are better off being vendored.

Finally, people get angry when somebody asks for free Tabulas and they can be vendored for a divine so those are rarely given away.
