where are all free gears?

I came from D2 where players just throw out free gears every now and then especially b4 season ends.
Here in PoE 95% of players NEVER play/care about regular league yet they just let thousands items rotten in remove-only stash tabs... Why? why can't players just be kind and give out free stuff to newbie/casual players at the end of season? ask yourself how often do you actually spent time in regular league? why not just spread the love and make newbies/casuals happy at some point during their PoE journey? Step one: Be social enough to get yourself into a guild. That might help your situation. A LOT of players give away items at the end of the league, but it often happens within the boundries of a guild.
