And that's totally fair, and I might even agree, but will likely never happen in PoE. I could point to several hints from GGG that their servers rely on monster dying faster than fast, and couln't handle a longer fight versus a pack of monsters. It would take a total rework of... Well... EVERYTHING to change this, from the engine, via skills, builds and balance, to the servers. And, of course, it would have to pass through the community, filled with speed junkies.

So when it comes to this, Santa might be a smarter place to start asking, especially if PoE 2 doesn't deliver on some of those points.
