Leveling alt characters Boring+Burnout

`Dear GGG,

What is the point of having to level every alt character every league?
It is the most boring proces in this game in my opinion.
I hate doing it because (sorry to say it) the story is just boring. Yes it is fine to do it again every league ONCE but having to level up just for the sake of it is working burn-outs in hand.

Every league i want to play longer with alt characters but then i need to put in many hours in the leveling proces first. I have a job and a kid so i value my time. Hence even long before i had a job and a kid i never liked the idea of having to level over and over and over and over.

I know the points you will make and what other people will make. Its part of the RPG concept. You feel like you achieved something.
Well i don't have a feeling i achieved something after playing your game more then 2000 hours.

I have the feeling i have to rush trough the content so i can finally enjoy the game which is a bad feeling.

Why are youtubers rushing trough the content? So they are finally in maps and can enjoy the game. Iam not talking about the joy of racing. Thats a different thing.
A lot of people dont like races and just like to have fun from start to end.

WHY I GET BURNED OUT ON POE:

1. The game is really punishing. I love this aspect of the game.
At the same time when i realize i want to play something else i need to level for atleast 6-8 hours.
I know there are ways to do it faster by looking at racing tips but what is the point? Why would i need to race trough the content? Because i want to get to endgame.. were the game finally gets fun.

This game punishes you for experimenting. If you are a casual dont mind experimenting if you dont want to get rekt. This game is hard to understand at first (which is a good thing).
I tried many things in this game but i tend to take the safe route so iam sure i get fun out of the game. I need to make sure that my main character is a good league starter so i look on the internet, which i actually hate.

Why do i do this? To prevent failing with my character. If i fail i dont have the currency to easily change my character. You need orb of regrets to change it which is hard when you are league starting....
Then you level a new character... noob.. you would think.. well i dont want to put ANOTHER 6 to 8 hours AGAIN just to get to endgame again. So i grind my main character until i got what i want which i manage most of the time.

This character gets boring later in the league so i actually want to try other classes but suprise suprise... I need to level first.
Then i need to grind some proper gear for that character and make sure i wont brick it.
I love expmerimenting but this game punishes me to hard.

I get burnt out because the game doesnt want me to have fun from start to finish.

Please let me get alts for free to endgame at level 60.
This leveling is boring as hell.

I WOULD EVEN PAY MONEY JUST TO NOT HAVING TO LEVEL ALTS its FREAKING BORRRRRING.
You have so much content which i would rather play instead of the boring leveling. You have a deep system of making builds were i spent hours and hours in tinkering builds.

I stopped doing this because if i fail it takes to much time to redo a character.

Dont even start the argument about hey but ALL good rpgs have this
All great old RPGS had a meaningfull story with a great and unique atmosphere and engaging moments from start to end...
Thats the big difference for me.
Nowadays the storys of rpgs are mediocre and the game is split up with a story and endgame which is a big difference.

The endgame in Diablo 1/2 was leveling and gearing. From start to finish. Which was fun from start to finish.

I know POE 2 is getting different but even there i wouldnt like to level over and over. Just let me enjoy what i want to enjoy of your game instead of forcing me to chew on an rotten apple..

If you don't want to level multiple characters then don't. Play one character only, that works too.

If you don't like leveling new characters every season, then don't play challenge leagues. Standard is there for a reason.

If you don't like going through acts but are too lazy to optimize your routing and preparation, then that's also a you-problem. No one should need 6-8 hours of playtime to get a new character to maps

Your proposal of skipping an integral part of the game, which is pre-leveling your character to access endgame just tells what kind of player you are.

It's a journey, start to finish. And every story starts somewhere. For PoE, that's level 1 and you should learn to deal with it.

or you should learn that it's boring and repetitive to do it over and over and not every one is into that and ggg should give people an option to skip it like many other games do
imagine not having an adventure mode in arpg game in 2020 year
imagine not having an option to select a gender of your character in 2020 year
imagine having to use portal and wisdom scrolls
imagine having to recast all your auras after each rip
imagine having to resummon all your zombies or golems after avery log in

as i've said many times before, this game has many outdated rudimental elements, i dont even want to list everything
the game is good, but its good despite of those things
developers should fix all of this elements as soon as possible

but here we have some [censored] with the dumbest suggestion ever: dont level new chars then. just imagine. in the game that literally revolves around making different builds and around experimentation. i have one more forum [censored] to add to my forum ignore script list.

dead game
bring back 3.13

Whataboutism at its best *rolls eyes*

Gotta love people who talk trash from behind a hidden profile. Telling people to grow up while throwing around insults, how very mature of you. If you have to relent to insults and whataboutism you have less arguments than you think you do.

@CAPSLOCK_ON: You'd take out a lot of the competitive edge from the game if you add the option to just buy a level 70 character. Even if it was tied to some conditions, the effect it'd have on both game economy, fall-off and competitiveness would be a big blow. This somewhat follows the papertrail that removing the death penalty would have on the game and I think I have made my stance quite clear on that matter on many other threads of this kind.

But sure, tell a PoE veteran to "learn" lel.

The opposite of knowledge is not illiteracy, but the illusion of knowledge.
I don't think skipping acts for a second character should be an option but maybe an "Uber Orb of Scouring" could be a good thing. It would allow the player to completely reset the build, tree, ascendancies, bandits and all plus the option to chose a different base character.
I completely understand where you're coming from. Personally, I've never really liked the leveling experience, and I'm also very slow at leveling so that makes it even worse. It's nice that they'll add a second campaign in poe 2, so I'll have 2 leveling experiences to choose from making the leveling process less stale. When I first heard GGG announce the mobile version I didn't really think I would play it for one reason: I don't want to spend hours just to get to the content I enjoy playing, on a mobile game, separate from the PC servers. When I heard that you would start straight from maps I was very relieved and I think I would enjoy the game on mobile. It would be cool if you could level with low-level maps right from the getgo on PC, but ultimately I don't really believe it would be healthy for the game, and it would be weird to implement. And skipping everything and just starting from level 60 on alt characters just seems off to me. Maybe poe mobile would be a good alternative for you(not implying you're a casual as you've clearly played this game for a long time, but it may suit your busy schedule better). Unfortunately, compromises have to be made and the current system is likely the better off as it is and if it's not I don't think your suggestions are the solution to improving it.
thats why i play 1 character every league
I'm an altaholic, while I don't hate the releveling experience (mainly because twink gear) if GGG gave me the option to skip it for future alts like they do with the uber lab and redoing the altas I would take it in an heartbeat.
Honestly, why not give everyone the option to create fully geared (with perfect gear ofc) level 100 characters from the start? I mean, leveling and killing monsters to find gear is just so repetitive and boring, why not just skip it? It's so outdated in a 2020 game. Modern games should just reward you for logging in, people's time is far too valuable to be wasted on actually playing games.
