Where you go wrong is assuming that you are finished with the reduced calculation. Put on an abyssus helmet and see how your 100% reduced physical reflect calculation looks.
If you have increased damage taken, it's done on the same calculation, not separate calculations. For instance you are using abyssus with 50% increase :
100 * (1 - (80 + 20 - 50)/100) = 100 * (1- 50/100)
= 100 * (0.5)
= 50 reflected damage
Do note that on PoB, reflected damage is also affected by resistance and PDR
Yeah, that was exactly my point. I was directly saying your declaration that 100% reduced is the exact same thing as 100% less was not true because it was not the end of the calculation since increased mods have to be included.

Without any sources of increased reflected elemental damage, 100% reduced is Ele reflect immunity. Anyway I’ve already solved the mystery after more than 3 days of googling, testing and discussions. Issue is with unnatural instinct interaction with exposure tolerance. In that regard, maybe PoE ninja’s skill tree isn’t bugged after all cos it shows one small node allocated next to unnatural when i actually allocated it for charges generation much further below. Prob something with the coding or old skill tree placements that deactivates one of the small nodes leading to exposure tolerance cos the game thinks it has been allocated (how unnatural works)

This doesn't appear to be the case, at least for me. You can see what Unnatural Instinct grants you by mousing over it and reading the tooltip. For me, it's showing 30% reduced Reflected Elemental Damage taken in that spot.
Do you mind showing the same tooltip?
It doesn't seem like this has to do with Unnatural Instinct at all.
I have tested this with Sibyl's Lament in the left ring slot for 80% + the listed 30% from Unnatural Instinct and do not take reflected elemental damage with no other modifiers to damage taken.

Thanks for your report, we've found the problem, it seems that the 10% Reduced Reflected Damage taken on the jewel isn't working, this only occurs if there are unallocated Reduced Reflected Damage taken passive skills within the radius of Unnatural Instinct.
