How Streamers/Nolifers Ruined POE...
I know people that only enjoy the story mode (the acts). I know people that struggle to reach yellow maps. I know people struggling to reach red maps. They are all having fun with the game, and always have challenges/progression to do. The problem is when people start 'demanding' to do everything, have access to everything and master everything based on their, personal schedule.
It's a tremendously narrow view, and quite frankly egoistic. "See no further than the end of one's nose" comes to mind. Be glad that you have more to achieve. Be glad that you have more to experience. Be glad that you have more to do. Bring me some coffee and I'll bring you a smile. Last edited by Phrazz#3529 on Aug 29, 2020, 2:26:01 PM

" personalty i play however much i can be bothered with because i am a lazy git. The difference is that i accept that being lazy will mean i don't get all the best stuff and i'm ok with that, other people are not and demand reward for no effort or time put into the game. @OP that isn't a no life/streamer problem...it's YOUR problem Ancestral Bond. It's a thing that does stuff. -Vipermagi

poe = picking pennies that you get on each map so you can buy gear you want from other people that got more lucky than you or they have access to more currency than you to craft things that you need.
it's sad but RNG is kinda the nature of arpgs regardless. and yes I will be back to this game eventually. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ "Parade your victories, hide your defeats. Mortals are so insecure."
Once you break the cycle of fear no angels or demons can whisper you their sweet nothing words. poe0.2/10. Nuff said. |

just look at the latest community race and the amount of interest it got on twitch. thats the kind of future content we are expected to see. 24 hour gaming sessions with ridiculous difficulty.

Well, fun is subjective but i do agree that streamers ruined a lot of things, since developers want streamers to get attention to their games so they ended up changing things to please that audience instead of the majority of players. And i do agree with the problem of trading/buying items instead of finding items for you character. The thing is, this game as a F2P has a lot of quality content and there is pretty much no ARPG on the market right now that it's on the level of this game, maybe Lost Ark could change that though, idk.

" This has been the first league you can pick up those pennies and turn them into something useful without just putting them in a piggy bank and waiting to trade them for some totally unrelated item. The implementation was clunky, not for everyone's taste, or lacking for a league, depending on who you ask, but it did give us the most complete itemization and self progress of any point in PoE's history. You might have missed the league that didn't have the problem you said, but hopefully GGG makes more like it, and maybe implements it to appeal more to the broader (and very vocal) audience. There's no powercreep here. Creep implies it's slow and could be overlooked, this is a full out sprint.

Its got nothing to do with streamers or nolifers its what happens when you have unrestricted drops and a focus on trade.
high playtime gets the most out of that because they access the most loot and can leverage it for even more, but poor players still can make plenty by selling the few high value items they actually get. Is that a problem? It depends its more of a choice and any choice you make about this game design wise has repercussions you can't just make items bind on pickup and expect the game to be anything like the same.] I did think the garden could be kept if the disabled trade for example and it had the regular map spawn rate for league events however that goes against the ethos of their game. Does that make me right and them wrong? Of course not because there isn't a right or wrong its simply a choice. |

" The story mode has gotten quite good compared to a few years ago. Honestly at this point I like it more than mapping almost. At least I don't have to do the same thing over and over again to progress in the story. |

It will only get worse as time goes on.
So all you really end up having is playing the economy, and plowing maps. And if you want to get anywhere on your character, you are better off mowing monsters down like weeds and just collecting pennies of the ground as fast as possible than any meaningful item hunting.
