To change these options, you can usually right-click your Path of Exile shortcut, select Properties and then add the option after the Target: "%ProgramFiles%\Grinding Gear Games\Path of Exile\Client.exe", after the quotes as shown:


Instead of -gc 2, add --nopatch

Now you should be able to get to the login screen, does it let you log in or does it hang on "Contacting Server..."?

I just deleted the whole thing, now reinstalling, its taken me about 30 attempts to reach the patch server but its now slowly updating, will let you know in a while if I can log in.

previously was simply unable to get past "unable to connect to patch server"

I have been having the same issue since this morning. I tried adding --patching-server pathofexile.com:3724 to the target line as someone in another thread suggested and that gets me past the "unable to connect to patching server" message, but I still ca not connect to the american server. It does connect to the European server. My ISP is Cox New Orleans.

FIXED by taking off save password and just retyping it in for me then had same issue when putting save password on again.... so yeah just turn off save pw for now
